I can see the NH-29, and NH-27 being able to access this directly, but this kind of high volume data flow would probably not be something an NH-22C could handle. It would be better to have them use this at the same level as the organic brains (Nepleslians) or the rare NH-1 (Geshrins).

There is no information given regarding the actual specs for the vision. For example is it limited to normal visible light ranges, or does it see into the Infra-red or Ultraviolet ranged? Does the vision allow for any magnification or telescopic zoom.

I considered the Yamataian processing problem, and had already come up with this:

Due to the massive amount of on-the-fly 3D graphics processing, this is largely handled by the Quantum Computer's IES and not the pilot's own brain. Still, the pilot will remember key information after disconnecting from the system – simply not the exact vector of an enemy unit or its exact distance at any given point. The IES will be able to give detailed information on the mission with this system – more so than previous “block box” recording devices.

In this way it "supplements" the pilot's digital brain with its own systems to manage the advanced function.



As for if it's stuck in the visible light spectrum, it can detect infrared and UV as well, though they aren't often displayed by default. I'll edit to make this more clear.

I added a sentence to add magnification/zoom, though I also noted that this function depends on the optical hardware used.
