QnS ship capabilities and other questions.

Hello there, I was just wanting some issues cleared up about the functionality of QnS vessels in light of the current events such as ZOMG SUN EXPLOSION.

First question, can the Antaeus-class battleship move at FTL and if it can't do it on its own, how can it be made to do so?

Second, would a Singularity Ejection Cannon be able to cause a disruption in the Mishhu caused solar shock wave that would create a "safe zone" or break in the shockwave?

Third, can the Kaiya Class Frigate's Energy Conversion Field manage to convert solar plasma? Also, can it convert aether beam energy?

Fourth, does the Mishhu jamming prevent ships equiped with Transuniversal Teleportation drives from teleporting into the given area, and does the jamming just prevent ships from escaping, or does it prevent entry and escape? Also, does the jammer effect Transuniversal Teleportation drives?

Fifth, would it be possible to disrupt a section of the solar shockwave by delivering an explosion of equal or greater force to colide with the shockwave? Also, if possible, what kind of explosion would be needed to counter the blast?

Sixth, would the Lorath (And other third parties) have access to full sensor information in regards to the known Mishhu fleet movements in the Sakura's Gap and Taiie areas?

Seventh, what color are Hanako's current panties?

1. No idea. Doesn't look like it.

2. I very much doubt that weapon would work in the Shlarvasseroth's interdiction field. The formation of a black hole seems to me like something related to transposition stuff >_>

Even if it did, I doubt it'd create a large enough hole to do so.

3. I'd say that anything that is past tolerance of the Kaiya's shield would probably not be effectively absorbed by its conversion system (or only very slightly absorbed). In the case of the shockwave from the hypernovaed Taiie, its unlikely the Kaiya would be able to absorb it all in time not to get pwned by the sheer momentum of the shockwave when it came.

4. I can't share much details about the Shlarvasseroth interdiction drive, but from prior reference, the field was powerful enough to have the Sakura be forced to move at 0.9c for 30 minutes to get out of the field... so, it's very wide. FTL capability in the field top at 1c (including for FTL torpedoes), transposition weaponry and fold drives would be inoperable inside. Ships folding in the system would have to appear at the edge and then enter it at sublight (meaning they probably won't get to the fight before it's over). It would also inhibit the transference capabilities of TDD-like systems (such as the one on Akina no Iori).

5. Most of the anti-fleet type weaponry tht base themselves on transposition of the release of zero-point energy can actually make a hole in it, yes. Essentially the shockwave comes in three waves: a nasty electronic disabling eletromagnetic pulse of a sort (I'd actually call that a scalar wave), the shockwave itself, which is composed of the solar mass which was pushed out at nearly 1c, and finally the aftershock, which is just a little bit slower because its composed of denser elements.

Quantum detonators and aether shock cannons can function while in the interdiction field; transposition cannons can't. Ideally, you'd have to survive the electromagnetic pulse and stay operational, then, you'd need to fire your weapon once to eliminate the solar matter in a select area and make sure you actually end up through the hole created. The problem, however, is that there's the aftershock which comes only a few seconds afterwards - and most anti-fleet weapons take a minute to charge.

...so, its probably doable, but very difficult to pull off given the conditions imposed by the scenario.

6. I'd say no.

7. Striped white-and-blue.

... Wait a minute. 30 minutes at 0.9 c.

That's 301,777,483 miles. So the field is about half a light-year wide, or .15 parsecs. Hm. Good to know.

TTDs shouldn't be affected, but remember they're not for travel inside a universe--they're for entering and leaving a universe.

As for Hanako's panties, Fred's mistaken - Hanako doesn't really wear much striped stuff at all - she likes solid colors. Most of the time she wears small sheer black pantsu.
