Approved Character Randall Gage

What's with the URL?

1. In Appearance, put "Slavic" in parentheses.

1a. In History, can you explain why he's joining the NMX?

2. In Skills, under Technology Operation: How did he learn to use the Kessaku OS?

3. In Knowledge, dump the little bit about MacGuyver.

4. In Rogue, drop "exceptional lying" and "misleading speech." Those are for a GM to determine.

Make these edits and you're good to go. I'll leave the cybernetics in because the character is headed for the NMX.

This character is pending.

Can this be looked at? I know Arieg spoke to (or tried to speak to) three different people on the IRC about his character's review, and at least two said they'd take a look at it, but it's been 2-3 days now.

Doshii just looked at it Yesterday. He has posted that he is incapacitated tonight but I'm sure he will be around to finish the review within a day or two.

Bugging reviewers to do something when somebody's already taken charge is generally considered bad form...

Especially if it's been less than a day.

Thanks, Kai. I'm sober now, but on my phone. Thankfully this is an easy one.

This plot is about working for the NMX, a faction that as far as I know has no monetary system and doesn't deal with any other form of currency. If Arieg's character here is a mercenary of sorts, how is he being paid and by who?

This might need Sharpness input as well. I don't need a huge answer about it, but some explanation is needed here.

The NMX, as I take it, have a very sound intelligence system in place. While they themselves may have no use for a currency, their enemies do. It makes sense that they'd use funds they've acquired to complete works of espionage -- spy cells can't really get supplies from home, y'know? So having a mercenary (likely led in through small jobs by a 'Mr.John') isn't completely out of the realm of possibility where collaborators are concerned. He's a collaborator, whether or not he's compelled emotionally or by principles.

Whether or not he'll get paid at the end of the war is another matter altogether.

Edit: I had just woken up when I wrote this. I hope it actually does make sense...

*Walks out of a recently pirated ship with arms full of weapons, electronics, and various other shiny things, and a pair of panties. "This'll do it!" *walks off*

Either Sharp's or Arieg's explanations work — as long as one or the other is added to the profile.
