"Reports have surfaced from the International Relations Conference that the Yamatai Star Empire has secured food aid from the Iromakuanhe Astral Commonwealth, a neighbor and trading partner to the Abwehran Star Empire. In return for food aid expected to help feed many of the Empire's hungry, Premier Ketsurui Yuumi has sworn the Empire will provide protection to the Commonwealth and the ASE.
"The type of food aid is unknown, but YSE officials briefed on the two governments said the Commonwealth has enough spare food production capacity to help feed Yamatai's citizens while other farmlands are ramped up to the needed levels.
"The conference is set to also discuss matters of trade and war, but it is unknown when those topics will be taken up or what information will be released."
The Neko paused, sharp ears flicking forward just a bit as the anchorwoman smiled a little.
"In music news, SANDRA's former chief anchorwoman, Ogama Mio, and Star Army soldier Koga Akemi, have formed a virtual music duo, the first idol duo to be formed with an active-duty soldier.
"Koga is the soldier who donated her pay to the Yamatai Defeat! Hunger Fund.
"The duo, called KOgama!, have not yet announced a date for their first single."
