The anchor appearing on the screen gave a warm, full-lipped smile to the camera. The graphic under her name read "Kawamura Midori." The Neko had blond hair and ear fur, and she had light grey eyes.
"Good evening, Yamatai — This, is SANDRA."
The graphic that appeared on the left of the screen was a blue bar with thick white kanji. It read, "NH-29 production ending."
"Ketsurui Zaibatsu announced today that mass production of the NH-29 has ended, as the transition to the NH-33 begins in full force.
"In a statement, the company said it would continue to support NH-29 models who choose to keep their bodies, including granting them access to the Star Army Communication Network's secure access nodule."
The screen briefly showed a doctor's hand pointing to a Neko's naked back, near her SPINE.
"The Star Army, in a separate statement, said it also would support the model, but said that all personnel who wish to keep it in case of damage or destruction must place a note in their personal files in order to be transferred into the older model."
The screen showed a Neko inside of a hemosynth tube up to her neck, presumably for some healing operation.
"The NH-29 model is considered the zaibatsu's most successful to date, despite being produced in smaller numbers. The company said the NH-29 brought the Neko into the modern age of warfare, providing lasting endurance without sacrificing combat prowess from previous models.
"The company said the NH-33 continues the tradition of Nekovalkyrja models utilizing power armor in combat, while also pushing for the raw capability of the NH-7, the third most mass-produced model in the Ningyo Heiki line. The NH-33 also incorporates, for the first time, the ability to internally cool the body through sweat."
