Tatiana and Xyainbor are again securely Yamataian systems following the Monday completion of combat missions conducted by the Ninth Standard Fleet.
In a series of surgical strikes — named “Operation Quick Draw” for Xyainbor and “Operation Willow” for Tatiana — the fleet rooted out and destroyed or captured all major NMX space and ground assets in the two systems, according to a joint statement from Star Army Command and the fleet. Combat around and on Tatiana was carefully planned as not to permanently disturb the planet’s vibrant ecological environment. Advice and assistance on the operation was provided by the Saiga Clan, Fjörgyn Conservation Society and Maysaki political faction among others.
“The Ninth is proud to have brought these two important worlds back into the Empire’s fold,” said Chusa Tachibana Uruki, a fleet spokeswoman. “Through our conquest, we once again honor those billions lost at Xyainbor during the first war and can ensure that Tatiana continues to flourish for centuries to come.”
Just hours after the completion of major combat operations was announced, Saiga Tokiko, one of Tatiana’s many Geshrin settlers forced out by the NMX, was named provisional governor of the system and planet. Saiga previously served as a diplomatic officer in the First Expeditionary Fleet.
A statement from the Imperial Premier’s office cites Saiga’s deep knowledge of Tatiana and its culture, her family’s connection to the world and her outstanding service to the Empire as the primary factors behind the selection.
