Star Army Conducts Anti-Terrorist Crackdown
Ahrbeg - After the recent theft of military equipment from Ahrbeg, the Star Army has begun doling out heavy punishments and conducting several operations in response. The militia from which the equipment was stolen has been disbanded, its equipment has been confiscated, and its leader is has been found guilty of negligence and has been sent to a military prison. In addition, several spies and collaborators have been identified as being supporters or members of the so-called “Independent Worlds League,” a terrorist organization which the Yamatai Star Empire is currently at war with. As terrorist citizens, the military did not consider them prisoners of war and excluded them from typical Prisoner of War protections in favor of a common trial. A SANDRA reporter was on the scene this morning as they faced execution:
“The Star Army took the prisoners and press to a cliff side, where the convicted criminals were led to the cliff with blindfolds their arms bound behind their backs. Each was shot in the head with an NSP and then set doused with oil and lit on fire and allowed to burn for several minutes before finally being pushed off the cliffs to the rocks below.”
All Yuuko-class gunships of the Star Army have been grounded, and orders have been issued to destroy the stolen ones on sight.
