Yamatai System - As a precautionary measure, engineers from the Star Army demolished all NovaCorp jumpgates throughout the Yamatai Star Empire. Because some of the gates had fallen into NMX possession, it was feared that the gate system could be used as an attack vector for an invasion of Yamatai or another key system.
The gate systems have been deactivated since the start of the war, so civilian shipping has not been affected.
