[Setting Expansion] Mass Cloned Infantry

This brings up so many evil thought you have no idea.

A cloning facility left unattended is found by a criminal. He gets a hacker to get it running and produces his own army of thugs and hitmen.

A rogue army is taking over a planet due to sheer numbers. The Star Army is called upon to render aid and to stop the army. The troopers look exactly alike. Research indicates a clone facility on the planet, but it has been non-functional for years.

These are just a couple of plot ideas that sprang to mind.

Actually, as mentioned, the Reds have been using these sort of facilities since recorded SARP history to make their armies of thugs.

If everything was totally secure and nothing bad could happen, this wouldn't be a military setting. Besides, conflict is fun. ^^

I don't really like it. Makes it too easy to have bajillion-men/ship armies again.

This isn't spaceships, it's just old fashioned dudes with conventional guns.

Yeah, but they can easily be stamped with minds capable of using operating starships.

but that is part of the fun...
