Approved Submission Shield of Asteria Equipment

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
As faction manager, I approve. This is a great article that fleshes out what we have already acquired and will make the Shield of Asteria easier to use in future plots.

Thank you, Cadet, for writing this up.

Where did they get the Gallus platforms?

Could you provide a list of ships in the faction's fleet? The rules require one for faction buildup limitation purposes and I think Asteria would be more "scrappy underdog" with a limited amount of ships to start with. It is hard to judge the equipment list without a fleet list because usually the fleet list determines the ships on the equipment one.

Sure.

The fleet list is in Shield of Asteria, a previously approved article detailing the actual military forces of Asteria.

The subsequent gear is not required to be listed, as it is implied that it would be either easily discoverable upon Asura (3.7 billion prior UOC citizens on Asura III), or would have logically come along with the gift of the aforementioned fleet, but wasn't listed, since doing so would be delving too deeply into detail for reasonable requirement. The shuttles, gear, etc., listed here, are not required to be listed according to the Military Buildup Limitation guidelines as they do not meet the qualifiers for a Warship, listed there.

Many tech articles that Cadet has listed here, from what I can see, are simply the logical steps to providing a better fleshed out fleet for use/reference in the RP, as we're presently using a lot of leftover UOC gear.

Okay.

3 day approval timer is in effect.

There is no mention of the Hikari-class Mining Ship or the StarChaser II-class Civilian Ferry in the aforementioned list, therefore Asteria does not posess any of them - so why are they included in the equipment list?

In my humble opinion, you're completely missing what @Wes said, @Gallant (emphasis mine).

The following equipment has no relationship whatsoever to the "Shugo-Seirei" Medical Evacuation Shuttle, the Seiza-class Cargo Hauler, the Ionoche-class Light Carrier, or the Ayana-class Escort (which are the only starships Asteria has)...

...so why is it included in the equipment list?

How and in which approved wiki article is this implied?

Frost brings up some good points. I hope Wes checks those out and considers them, lest they be entirely ignored because they came from anybody but him.

Yeah, I talked with them about the nature of some of the additions and we came to an agreement, too.

Approved.

So, they're going to get to have:

Not to be rude, @Wes, but since when have we as a community allowed others to simply handwave multiple starships and capital ships into existence? Didn't you personally state in the Shield of Asteria submission (I'd link it, but I'm posting from my phone) that Asteria should not have such ships?

Asteria getting any Eagle-class ships is, frankly, abhorrent. The FM of the Lorath during Cadet's metagamed rebellion confirmed that that Fate had no authority, but that's been let slide. Okay, whatever.

But allowing them to keep even a single Eagle-class Battle-carrier is akin to a Yamataian Taisho player going rogue, insisting they be allowed to keep their stolen Chiharu-class flagship, and being allowed to do it even if Wes said no. That would never happen, so I don't see why it's happening to Lorath assets.

The above example, in my humble opinion, could also be applied to all of the equipment mentioned here and here, as such OOC "shenanigans" would never be permitted with Yamataian equipment - so why are they being allowed with Lorath equipment?

I've gone ahead and updated the article to include the equipment of the Lorath fleet that's been integrated into it.

As far as I know that Lorath fleet was not approved as canon, and Nepleslia was supposed to get all the Lorath leftovers. I feel like you adding Lorath ships is questionable and serves no OOC benefit to Asteria. I agreed to allow some small numbers of Lorath ships on a case by case basis if discussed with me but no Asterian FM has talked to me about adding ships.
