Since ya asked, "shiruku" is just a romanization for "silk." Which is probably fine for our purposes in Yamataigo. Translating from the phrase "silken steel," we can get several different words. I'm not a native-level speaker or reader, though, so take what I say kind of lightly.
絹鋼 (Kinu-kō) means "silk steel."
絹ごし鋼 (Kinugoshi-kō) means actually "silken steel."
鋼絹 (Hagane Kinu) means "steel silk," but I'm not sure if this would be entirely awkward.
鋼の絹 (Hagane no Kinu) just adds the "of" particle, making it "silk of steel."
EDIT: Your "Kōtetsu no Kinu" or "Ironclad Silk" could probably just be "Kōtetsukinu" (鋼鉄絹), tbh. You could portmanteau it to "Kosukinu" or something!
