Shirukuhagane

Since ya asked, "shiruku" is just a romanization for "silk." Which is probably fine for our purposes in Yamataigo. Translating from the phrase "silken steel," we can get several different words. I'm not a native-level speaker or reader, though, so take what I say kind of lightly.
  • 絹鋼 (Kinu-kō) means "silk steel."
  • 絹ごし鋼 (Kinugoshi-kō) means actually "silken steel."
  • 鋼絹 (Hagane Kinu) means "steel silk," but I'm not sure if this would be entirely awkward.
  • 鋼の絹 (Hagane no Kinu) just adds the "of" particle, making it "silk of steel."
  • EDIT: Your "Kōtetsu no Kinu" or "Ironclad Silk" could probably just be "Kōtetsukinu" (鋼鉄絹), tbh. You could portmanteau it to "Kosukinu" or something!
Tech's neat. Good luck getting it through!
