Members of the Star Army community are expected to abide by the following rules:
1. No Player or Faction Bashing. This is the number one rule because it is the most important. Players must respect fellow players. Being deliberately hurtful to or harassing another player or Game Master will not be tolerated, including remarks made in private or without the victim’s knowledge. Similarly, any player found making hurtful remarks about player factions will be punished. (Added 8/26/07)
2. No whining about established setting or setting elements. Some parts of the setting are integral to it (such as bio-androids, aether, scalar energetics, and Zesuaium) and are not going to go away (at least not immediately). (Added 8/26/07)
3. No scaring away new players or potential new players. Posting idiotic or negative things in a welcome thread is begging for a ban. Likewise, so is posting highly negative topics. New players need to feel welcome, respected, and should be shown Star Army’s best. (Added 8/26/07)
4. No vandalizing or spamming the wiki, imageboard, or forums. People have worked hard on the content here; screwing it up is grounds for an immediate, permanent ban. (Added 8/26/07)
5. No illegal stuff. Star Army is a site that lets users add content and communicate with each other, but we need to keep it legal so it lasts and to protect ourselves. That means members who break the law on the site (and in some cases, elsewhere) may be removed, banned without notice, and or be reported to law enforcement. This includes but is not limited to fraud, underage porn, warez, copyright and/or trademark violations, and unauthorized access of private site materials. (Added 8/26/07)
6. Anyone attempting to steal players (convince them to leave the community for another community) from Star Army will be immediately, permanently banned. Any unauthorized use of Star Army intellectual property or IP licensed by Star Army will be aggressively countered by all means available. (added 9/20/07)
The above rules are in effect but also in-progress and will replace the current site policy when completed. Currently, they coexist.
