What about smart weapons. For example a projectile like a small rocket that actually is heat seeking or perhaps radar guided. Extreemly slow rate of fire and extreemly long range. These smart weapons would lock on to a (living) target and could then fire their projectile. In theory the mini-rocket would track the target and even fly around corners.
Sure, I think it's very possible for such weapons to exist in the SARP. I can't think of any at the moment, though. On Nepleslia, automated machinegun/pulsegun systems are popular, usually consisting of a self-aiming gun mounting on servos with a tripod.
I wrote down some ideas and sketched some pictures in AutoCAD today:
* The smart assault rifle that fires small guided rockets.
* A small pistol (I call the needler, but I see the name is taken) that uses compressed air to fire a poisoned needle. Silently.
* Smart gernades - these spheres are programmed in advance or remotely controlled. They roll on most smooth survaces until they reach their destination. I picture something slightly bigger than a softball rolling down a hallway and then abruptly turing into a room. Then BOOM!
I also sketched up a flame-thrower, sniper rifle, gernade launcher, and this one weapon that shoots razor sharp diks. Hmm... kind of like a rifle that can shoot out ninja throwing stars. Hmm... Did I get that from Unreal Tournement? Perhaps...
