Kiroshi SSk-XM2-1a
"Buster" Prototype Mecha
History and Background: Increasing amounts of hostile organic matter on the SS. Kiroshi prompted Jakei to produce a mecha which could easily destroy large amounts of organics. The Buster Mecha is his first attempt at this.
About the Buster: The Buster's primary weapon is a high intensity infrared laser rifle, which can heat it's target to temperatures in excess of 250-300 degrees celsius (530 - 636*F) if the beam is focused for a long enough time. This allows it to burn most organics without damaging metal unless it intentionally focuses it's rifle to the melting point of said metal. Secondary weapons include metal blades and laser-based blades.

Appearance: The Buster looks a lot like the cliched giant robots, except not as tall, seeing as how it must fit within most of the Kiroshi's passageways. It is usually a bright white or green, and has thrusters on the back for operating in 0G environments. It also has four sturdy legs for 1G+ use.

Payload: 100 shots, may carry extra batteries
SSK Electric Blade (2):
Location: Stored on backpack, used on right/left arms
Primary Purpose: Anti-Systems
Secondary Purpose: Anti-Mecha
Damage: No damage. Overloads electric systems in target.
Range: 2 Meters (sword length)
Rate of Fire: As fast as the wielding mecha can swing the sword.
Payload: 30 minutes of activation
Systems Descriptions:
Backpack/Jetpack (1): Can be used forstorage, located on the back of the unit. 2 major thrusters on either side permit 0G movement of the mecha. The thrusters can be swiveled in any direction, and can generate speeds of up to mach 8 in 0G environment, and up to 700 MPH on land.
Subspace Communications System (2): Subspace comms system found in both arms. The unit in the left arm is usually used, but the right arm unit can be used if the left arm unit fails.
VLF Projection Sensor (1): This sensor emits a very low frequency electromagnetic wave, which reflects off of any nearby ships in a 3 AU range. The downside to this is that it is an active sensor, meaning nearby ships can detect the wave, and that the wave may take a long time to reflect back to the sensor, being limited to the speed of light.
Radiation Sensor (4): These units are located in the front, back, left and right of the mecha's torso, and can sense radiation from ships in a 1.5AU radius. It has only half the range of the VLf sensor, but perceives radiation instead of actively emitting waves, so no ships can perceive this sensor functioning.
