Well, I gave the programs a bit of an overhaul again, moreso on the decoder this time.
Before, the mods had to type in the codes into 5 boxes. In this version, v1.2b, they can simply copy and paste the whole Type Code and Item Code into one textbox each. This required me to lessen the range of random numbers the player can pick from 11 to 49, but in no way adversely affects the program.
Now both the player and moderator, with v1.2b, can use the program with less effort. Of course, slight modifications rendered the code system somewhat different, so codes written with 1.2b+ will need read by 1.2b+ and vice versa.
The player just has to select the place, enter a pair of two digit numbers between 11 and 49, hit "OK", copy/paste the output in the last box in their Finance and Inventory, and repeat the last two steps for additional items.
The moderator just copies/pastes the Type Code and Item Code in their respective text boxes, hits "OK", makes sure the item is the same, and repeats as needed. Much nicer than having to copy by keystroke.
Now I have to say this: I have obtained a job, which will have me working anywhere from 32 to 40 hours a week. While I will still be on SA, I don't have as much time as before to sit at a computer to program for hours, or to make lists. For this reason, I, again,
FRIGGIN. BEG. YOU. to assist. While there has been some support and a few lists not made by me or Wes, they have been minimal, and this is something the community should help with, especially because Wes wants to expand the system beyond salvage, and into Piracy.
The way it will be handled is still being discussed, but ship suggestions, as well as ship manifests, will be needed.
The Manifest of a ship is what that type of ship would likely be carrying. It will be independant of the program, but still needed, and is not limited in any way, save the capacity of the vessel carrying said cargo.
