YE44.4.13
Fujiko Sub-District
Since the beginning of the year, the systems Fujiko and Rufusland had seen a drastic uptick in violence in what many have called "The Red Troubles". Violent street warfare between rival (Old Guard loyalists and Reformers) gangs and militias had broken out in the controlled cities of Fujiko II and the undersea habitats of Rufusland IV. Ukmirt remained largely untouched due to the population having a greater Yamataian majority.
Most thought the fighting was over by YE 44.2, but yesterday on Ukmirt II, the 4th Copperas Cove Commune Power Generation Plant was destroyed in bombing attack. Ten workers were killed in the incident including SAoY reservist Kurita Tomomi present there to inspect the facility. A "Provisional Red Star Army" has claimed responsibility and promised similar actions in their effort to "liberate the Reds from their false masters and lead the Reds in a future to dominate the Greens."
Federal Union Chief Executive Sun Horatio strongly encourages calm and trust in both local police forces in finding and putting these "lost souls" to justice.
