Hey everyone, I'm Stephen! I'm 36 and live in New York though I travel frequently around for work, especially to California. I am a paramedic and a clinical organ donation/transplant coordinator. I have two teenagers and two smaller step-children (though their mother and I are divorced). I love writing and I hope to actually do so for publishing one day. I've done RPs since the age of 13 starting off with Star Trek. Interestingly enough I started watching Star Trek after I started to RP it because I was interested in the military and writing about the military in space and a Star Trek RP was the first RP I happened to come across. I also like to do more modern and slice of life writing. I've run various RP communities over the years.
Wes and I came across each other in an RP community that I previously served as a moderator for and I have always been interested in Star Army. I finally got around to doing something about a couple years later. I am a bit nervous about learning the lore and hope I don't mess things up too badly. I have to say that Wes and the whole community I've interacted with so far on Discord has been amazing and I feel very welcomed.
If any of you attended Fall Fest this year you may have actually seen some of my writing in one of the panels.
I did steal part of the intro template because I thought it would be interesting to answer some of the questions.
Do you prefer:
What's something cool you'd love to RP? Establishment of a brand new colony/military base and exploration of the planet around it.

Do you prefer:
- Playing male, female, or other-gendered characters? - I have no problem writing male or female characters though I think that I do better with female characters. I feel like I naturally have to think more about it and so I feel as if they come out more well rounded where I'm always afraid my male characters tend to come out as me. I have never played other-gendered characters though something I've thought of giving a go.
- Spontaneous or planned RP? Both, depending on how it goes. I do some one-on-one writing with friends via google docs or discord so depending on the medium things can just be random scenes we start writing on Discord or we have a simple idea and flesh things out as it goes in google docs, etc.
- Military or civilian characters? I write both but I highly enjoy writing about the military.
- Humans, androids, anthros, or aliens? Humans are my comfort zone, I have written various alien species in my time, I don't think I have ever done any android or anthros. I may have NPCed an android or computer interface/hologram from time to time.
- Being on a starship or being on a planet? Depends on the plot I want to write, I don't really have a preferenec.
- Roleplay via forum posts or in real-time? For large groups I prefer forum for one-on-one I prefer real time or near real time. My schedule prohibits any sort of specified time for live RP though.
