Personality: Generally aloof and seemingly indifferent to the world around him.
He has a tendency of seeming harsh rather than polite in front of groups of
people, usually displaying a certain sarcastic wit only in front of those whom he
knows. In conversations he simply leads others into speaking instead of actively
participating by offering opinions or views of his own, save for a saracastic comment or
two. This may make him seem cold and calculating in front of others, but he will
always listen to what they have to say and try and make them feel better by bringing
out positive feelings. He secretly cares very deeply for his fellow man, but
will mask what he believes to be his "Weakness" behind the guise of nonchalance.
Likes: Seafood, bugs, reading, drawing (secretly).
Dislikes: Loud and obnoxious people. Clumsy fools. Those who make decisions without
thinking (despite acting this way himself). Organization. Over-bearing and superior
attitudes. Rules in general.
Goals:Secretely wishes to punish those who inflict pain upon others, but refrains
from acting on this because he does not want his emotions to control him. Seeks rather to
prove his worth by performing the tasks he is given.
History
Leading a rather sheltered life as a child, his father treated him and his sister with
compassion.
His father was an idealistic romantic who helped others whom he believed to be
suffering becuase of the oppression of the upper classes by working as a doctor in crime
infested slums. He banned the use of weapons from the household, even for self-defense.
Originally wanting to become a physician for much the same reasons, Tanuis studied with his
father in the practice of medicine and displayed an adept understanding for human anatomy
from an early age.
Even though he questioned his father's ideals, he still believed in the
childish virtue of helping others out of the kindness of one's heart. This fantasy was
soured when his father was killed by a crime syndicate for saving someone who happened to
be an important member of another rival syndicate. Tanuis understood little of what was
going on at the time, being blindly obsessed with his studies. When he found out the reason
for his father's death he almost slipped into insanity, tortured by the idea that people
would want to eliminate a person who only wished to help those in need. Entertaining the
idea of revenge, he began using his intimate knowledge of human anatomy to study the
practice of the Naked/Kill, or to inflict fatal wounds with simple household items rather
than the more conventional weapons that his father disapproved of.
However, without the desire to get caught up in a mission for revenge, one that would
get himself killed as well, leaving his sister to fend for herself, he decided to put these
developing skills aside and look after her. However, without any immediate desire to
become a doctor he made a living by any other means necessary. He finally decided to join
the army to make something of himself not as a soldier, but as a medical physician.
Skills:
Communication: Sufficient knowledge to operate all communication media required by Army
standards including basic headsets, starship and shuttle devices among others. Able to
perform these functions even in extreme situations.
Fighting and Physical: Has recieved basic training in hand to hand combat as required by
The Army. Is especially proficient in the art of Jeet Kune Do, employing mainly elbow strikes
and kicks in order to preserve his most delicate and important instruments as a medic,
his hands. His intimate knowledge of the Naked/Kill tenchniques (to strike lethally with
common household items) are products of his intimate knowledge of human anatomy learned
through his father.
Information Technology: Capable of operating information database systems and computer
sytems using the Kessaku OS as required by Army standards.
Mathematics: Sufficient knowledge in algebraic and trigonometric concepts along with basic
mathematical principles.
Medical: Profficient in the areas of basic medicine and surgical reconstruction on organic
and synthetic materials. Possessed extensive knowledge and adept understanding of the human
body.
