Heyos all,

As some of you might have noticed, I haven't been active on SARP, on the wiki, or on Discord much. Here's why:
  • My only source of 'net access at the moment is a iPhone 5c that has no SIM chip and a severely damaged radio emitter/receiver which only functions for a few minutes at the time - meaning that I only get intermittent wifi at the best of times.
  • I found out today that I have fourteen days (or less!) to find full-time employment or face eviction.
So...yeah. I should (hopefully) be back within two weeks, and I should ( hopefully) be able to get my phone fixed by that time - but if I "vanish" for a month or two, well, that's why...

Oh man, best wishes on the job hunt, that sounds scary as hell to have to find a job in two weeks.

Make sure to use all your social connections - e.g. get friends and family to ask around if anyone has a job available. Knowing somebody is the most reliable way to get a job at a place, IMO.

So, update time. During my, uh, "leave of absence" during the past week, I was able to find employment at the local store as a deli clerk.

The good news is that this means I'll have mo cheddah to spend on MEGA commissions and on the site itself - roughly $150 a week after taxes and before RL expenses - thus I'll soon be a site supporter, just like (mysteriously enough) nearly every single member of Asteria. Additionally, I only have to work three days a week - which means more time for SARPing...

...but bad news is that at 25 hours a week, it's only a part-time job - hence I still have to job-hunt for something to fill up the remaining 15 hours. I'll also be working nights, meaning that my availability online in the evening is about to get severely diminished - and I won't be able to RP for another two or three weeks, as it'll take at least that long for me to save up the funds necessary to purchase a semi-decent laptop actually capable of running Grammarly.

But...yeah. I GOTZ UN JOB! :D

That's great news! I'm really glad you found something to keep you going while you look for something more career-oriented.
