Free Commonwealth Broadcasting (FCB) The Engagement of Jol'Aester Sylix Lunari

FREE COMMONNWEALTH BROADCASTING (FCB) ALERT

A highly anticipated announcement from the Imperial Palace took a dramatic and unexpected turn during a live broadcast earlier today. The Voidwatcher Standard Chronicle (VSC) had been covering the much-rumored engagement of Jol’Aester Sylix Lunari, a pivotal moment expected to solidify alliances within the Imperial court. As thousands of citizens gathered in Vaalor Square to witness the historic event...

"We will be transferring to our Imperial coverage attendant shortly, as we all sit in anticipation of the announcement of the engagement of Jol’Aester Sylix Lunari."

However, moments later, the broadcast was disrupted by bursts of static ~ an anomaly that raised immediate concerns given the typically flawless nature of quantum communications. When the feed returned, it revealed a sweeping view of Vaalor Square, where the crowd awaited the announcement with eager anticipation. Speculation about Vaelaris's long-standing ambitions for the throne had reached a fever pitch in recent weeks. Many believed the engagement announcement would mark the culmination of his efforts to secure the Imperial seat.

As the reporter continued, tension mounted:

"The Imperial Couple are making their way onto the balcony now…"

But the broadcast took an unexpected and shocking turn. The feed distorted, and instead of Vaelaris, Morggho appeared seated beside Sylix on the Imperial throne. The image of Morggho, the leader of the Craethel Hordes that ravaged their worlds in the last war sent shockwaves through the crowd and viewers alike.

Transmission Terminated At Source

Before further context could be provided, the transmission stuttered once more, the screen cutting to black. The logo of the Voidwatcher Standard Chronicle appeared in its place, leaving the audience with more questions than answers. The sudden interruption has sparked widespread speculation across the empire, with many questioning the significance of Morggho’s unexpected presence and what it may signal for the future of Imperial leadership and the Imperium. Jol'Aester Aerum Eitan of the Free Commonwealth of Vespan has reportedly called for a meeting of her top military officials as it expected that violence will follow this stunning announcement.

The VSC has not yet restored their services and all out going communications on civilian bands ceased on Noria immediately following the broadcast.

Message from Jol'Aester Aerum Eitan

As some of you know, six hours ago the announcement was made that Jol'Aester Sylix Lunari was marrying Morggho. This crude violation to our people is something that we can no longer ignore. What was a civil war is no longer. The Free Commonwealth of Vespan is now the Government of the United Norian Imperium in exile. Our plans to move to the Kosuke Sector, must be accelerated. We must also consider the lives and well being of those trapped on Noria, from which no communication has been received since the announcement was made.

Aetlantia, I address your citizens specifically. Your world is under contest now, the fight you had a week ago is no longer the fight you have before you today. The war you are fighting is not with each other but with an enemy that has wanted us exterminated. Forces across the Yirune Arm, are with you.

If you are a UNN officer or soldier and you have found yourself on the wrong side. Surrender, and do not for any reason attempt to return to Noria. We will have places for you to go including other UNN ships that had already made it to safe harbor. If you find yourself in need of shelter and have the ability to reach Tsenlan, the last we knew they are still taking refugees.

To those on Lorenz in the Kosuke Sector, stay vigilant in our new home. The soldiers we have sent to fortify your position will defend you. We will be with you as soon as we can be.

Aerum's message is posted with Winter's Permission.
