I have yet to map out the decks, but that isn't necessary to the function of the station.

This has been RP'ed from concept to completion IC, and all it needs now is some good old criticism. Tell me what I've screwed up on within the article, as this is the first piece of BIG technology I've submitted.

You mean this: Drifting Into Place? Just wondering, since it's kind of short.

Anyway, I'm checking this out because it involves Freespacers and they're my responsibility now. My main question is this: did you speak with any of the previous Freespacer GMs when this was in development? Roleplay with them isn't necessarily required, but an OOC agreement should have been reached at an earlier point. Jess was still around when you started this, so there's no reason you couldn't have received her OK. If you never bothered to tell the people who were previously in control of the Freespacers, we will have to speak in further detail about their involvement.

That said, nothing looks outrageously objectionable about the technology of Drift to me. I'll let the tech people take care of that. The story elements may need to be ironed out though.
 
If Jess roleplayed it, then it is acceptable whether I agree or not. Thumbs-up from the Freespacer FM.
 
I do have a quick question however. I completely forgot about this little part from within that RP.
"I shall also take the liberty to add some 1800mm artillery turrets, point defense quadcannons, and shield emitters to act as a deterrence against any pirate raids or any other interference. Automated Phantasm gunships will also be provided for local patrol and escort duty."

Since you are the Freespacer FM, I was wondering what would be the standard number of these things for a station of this size, and also the strength of the shield, so I can add them to the wiki page.
 
For the 1800mm artillery and point defense, I don't think you really need to state exactly how many are there; it doesn't really matter how many guns it has during roleplay. I don't know what kind of shield emitters that Jess was talking about, but Freespacer shielding is probably "Standard" or "Advanced." While they have the capability, I'm sure, for "Very Advanced" shielding, it'd be an incredibly rare thing.

The 275m Divine Comedy houses 40 Phantasm Gunships and realistically could hold far more than that, so I'm sure that a structure as massive as a Freespacer mothership could hold a comparably massive amount of gunships--at least several squadrons. From the sound of the post, they were providing enough to act as defense patrols, so somewhere in the ballpark of 100-400, but I wouldn't think anywhere above that and somewhere closer to the bottom of that spectrum. Not many Phantasms are needed to cover a large area as patrol. Think of them as similar to fighter jets.
 
It makes sense. Drift is a huge structure and could probably house far more than that, but the post seemed to me that the gunships were provided to be less of a force that could stand up and all out defend the place from invasion and more like a deterrence against raiders. I'm sure Galar will end up adding a lot more defense personnel and equipment anyway.

The EVS contains the sensor functions. What is the EVS? and what capbilities does it provide.

You have shields identified, but the damage rating section doesn't reflect their presence.
 
Alright, I think I got most of the things you pointed out, but I am quite confused about shields. How much shielding should it have and how should I list it on the wiki?
 
Shielding is usually listed under the hull like this example from the Plumeria

Hull: 20
Shields: 20 (Threshold 2)

As for how much, it depends on the level of shields

You have the hull as 65

From the Damage Rating page

Standard 0.6 x Base Structural Points
Advanced 0.8 x Base Structural Points
Very Advanced 1.0 x Base Structural Points

Using the Phatasm as a baseline it says Shield Rating: Standard Shielding

So your shield would be 65 * .6 or 39 threshold would be probably 5
 
I added a bunch of wiki links. But you have one big issue still.

Under Weapons you have to systems listed, that are not linked and I can not find a page with such items. You either have to either replace them with an approved system, or write them up in the article including damage, rof etc.

Good point. I remember getting them from either Jess or Raz, but at this point, it's been so long I can't remember who told me to use them. I updated the point defenses, and am just using a comparable weapon to what was suggested. I think the Pseudoflare cannons will work nicely.

The freespacer weapons article you linked to needs major updating, Zephyrite.

Try and get Raz to fix those, seeing as he is the current 'Spacer FM.
