DEFCON Everybody Dies
It was early evening, the Asuran sun quietly setting off in the west, it's golden rays illuminating the thunderstorm that raged offshore to the west. The area was quiet, a port facility, or rather what had been one before the arrival of the NMX some years ago. A single paved road led out of the small group of warehouses and concrete ship slips, something the sole occupant of the area was counting on.
A small Versa, painted in a fading dull red shade, sat next to one of the warehouses. It's rear facing the water and the front giving the driver a good view of the long winding access road. The man, dressed in a dark pair of slacks and a decently thick military style jacket was Nepleslian. The more desirable traits of a Jiyuiian or Yamataian male absent from his rough bearded face.
James Francis Haden was his name, his reasons for being this far out from what was left of Asura's civilization was simple and contained in one of three small brown envelopes that occupied the passenger side front seat. James was formerly Captain James Haden of the ill fated military contracting company known as Paragon. While his time was long and the end to his career with them leaving him with naught but what he could acquire it did leave him with certain options. One of these being a contact back in town, one that had given him a wad of KS currency, packages, and instructions to be at a certain place and a certain time.
He knew typically what those sort of instructions meant, however he had no idea what he was in for.
