The Tyran Sphere Alliance

The Tyran Sphere Alliance, or the TSA, is a small cluster of stars forming a sphere about 150 light years in diameter. Its governing planet, Tyra, rests within the center in the Hades sector, and all the TSA is controlled from this planet. The TSA is based on a multi-state philosophy, where multiple states may exist within the Alliance. Each planet elects a Planetary Governor, who governs the planet, along with all the leaders of the states within the planet. The governors are then governed by the High Council on Tyra. The High Council consists of the leaders of the states of Tyra, the Lord Admiral of the Navy, General Militiant of the Army, Master General of the Marines, and the High Governor of Tyra himself.

Tyra is the third planet from its star, Hyde, has an axial tilt of 23.6 degrees, a rotation of about 20 hours, and a revolution period of 270 days. The planet has a gravity level of 1.3 G, and two moons that orbit on opposite from each other. Tyra is classified as a hive world, with a population of around 200 billion (!). Not a single piece of the surface of Tyra is visible now; the planet has become one vast city. Even with its population, the world is remarkebly clean, it's air untainted by any pollutants. Tyra is entirely self-sufficient, having large domes that grow crops, raise livestock, and so on. The planet is also well protected; from the powerful laser batteries on the surface to the orbital weapons platforms, Tyra is practically impenetrable. The population is made up of mostly Nepleslians, with some other races, such as elves and Geshrin.

The Tyran Militiant Forces

The Tyran Militiant Forces, or TMF, is made up of three parts: the Army, the Navy, and the Marines. Tyrans are allowed to join the military after they are 18 years old, and may choose from a multitude of jobs. The main areas are the Army and Navy. Tyrans may not normally become Marines, and they are picked through out of suitable candidates when they are young.

The Army is composed of infantrymen, who are normally called the Tyran Drop Strike Forces, or TDSF. They are fired from their troop transports in an armored cacoon that splits open when the trooper directs, and the soldier then drops the rest of the way, aided by small jets attached to their backs, which are jettisoned once they hit the ground because of their weight. The infantrymen carry the MK II "Firebolt" Sherath las rifle, which fire powerful beams of light that cause a rapid change in the target's surface temperature that causes it to explode in a flash of light. There are other specialized weaponry that they carry, such as fusion guns, plasma guns, heavy bolters, and so on.

The Navy is in charge of running the battlefleets of the TMF, from the mighty Battleships to the lowly corvettes. They are the force that delivers the fight to the front, and they take that duty very seriously. The fleets are mostly built out of the numerous shipyards orbiting the planets of Tyra, though Sherath, a great industrial world, also handles a lot of shipbuilding as well.

The Marines are the rapid responce forces of the TMF. There are not the most numerous force of the TMF, but they are certainly the most powerful. They are picked out from the age of 6 from their peers for their great physical strength and their mental ability. They are then trained till they are 14, then they are implanted with various bio- and techno-organs and increase their body's strength, resilience and speed, among other things. At this point they are referred to as "Newbloods," and taken aboard one of the Marine cruisers for combat experience. Once they have prove themselves in battle, then they are elevated to "Marine" status, and are able to don the powered armor of their brethren. This suit increases the Marine's already formidable abilities, pushing their power to superhuman. The Marines serve aboard small cruisers that carry around 100 Marines, plus their trasnports and vehicles. They usually drop to the surface of a planet in Drop Pods that hold 5-10 of the warriors.

History of the Tyran Sphere Alliance

The planet of Tyra was discovered some 100 years ago by a Nepleslian exploratory vessel. Although far from Nepleslian borders, the Nepleslian government jumped at the chance to incorperate this world. Their colonists arrived a year later, and the colonizing began. The world was lush and beautiful then. 20 years later, the planet had started on the road to becoming an urban hell. Cities and industrial sectors covered much of the planet, tranforming the planet from its once beautiful self into a twisted, metallic rock. The government became corrupt and abused the masses on the planet. Eventually, the build-up of tension within the people of Tyra snapped. Riots started forming, and soon, a full-fledged rebellion had begun. The rebellion lasted almost 10 years, and much of the records from this time were lost. After the fighting cooled down, a new goverment was established, the Tyran Alliance, the predecessor of the current Tyran Sphere Alliance. In the next 30 years, the TA expanding exponentially, incorperating many planets, and expanding to its present 250 light-year sphere. But behind the scenes, a war was brewing...

Titans sound overly ripped off from 40k... even down to the name.

Also if this is a new race I wouldn't rush into calling your forces elite until they actually have had some combat experiance.

Titans...yeah, I should change that. Maybe come up with an equally awesome like Errant. Hm...

As for calling forces elite, I should put up a history for these guys. Most of them have seen much combat within the TSA.

Well, back to the drawing board! :D

Lots of races have plenty of conflict amongst themselves but you really should refrain from calling them elite until they have gotten experiance in combat with other people. Many a noob has had his 'elite' forces wiped out by another player easaly.

As for the titans... at least change the name.

Any updates on these guys?
