SACN To Taisa Ketsurui Hanako, From Shoi Kakutama Yuriko

Dear Taisa,

How are you? I am doing well, busy, but well. Such is the life of a starship captain I suppose. (Light chuckling in the background from Yuriko.) My second day of command has already seen quite the odd assortment of events. While on our way to the Yugumo cluster we ran across a Fifth Expeditionary Fleet scout in distress, and had been attacked by a SMX carrier. We re-took the scoutship, and boarded the carrier, also taking it, and freeing over one hundred prisoners of Yamataian, Nekovalkyrja, Nepleslian, and Lorath origin.

I cannot say my arrival to Hotaru Star Fortress was not without its own share of bumps in the road. I attracted the attention of the admirality of the Fifth, and was introduced to Shosho Misato Tange, someone of great influence it seems. At first she came off a bit...cold, and aloof due to my fleet status, but in all honesty now it seems she likes me. Unfortunately I was also involved in a botched assassination attempt, and saved her life as well, now it seems I have won at least some measure of respect amongst the Fifth.

There was also a battle the first night I arrived at Hotaru, two SMX forces arrived, and my ship aided the Fifth in repelling the assault. We managed to destroy two carriers of the four SMX carriers, and damaging a third. All in all the battle went surprisingly well, and none of my crew were injured.

Sounds like a normal day back in the days when I was aboard the Sakura, no? Forgive me if you do not find that funny Taisa, I was trying to put some humor into an otherwise bad situation. All in all a fairly eventful day...

Oh! How could I almost have forgotten! Two very important things happened to me as well. Firstly, when I first arrived at Hotaru I met a man, a male NH-27 samurai with silver hair named Saito. We began talking, and eventually I ended up with him as my bodyguard, he is a sweet, caring, and protective man. I once caught him napping in one of the rec rooms with our smallest sprite, Shii cuddling up against him asleep, it was quite cute.

An image of Shii, a three foot tall sprite with long green hair, big golden, eyes, pale skin, and a innocent look on her small childish face was enclosed. Also a photo of Saito asleep on the rec room couch with Shii right beside him was as well.

The second important, if not most important event happened only late yesterday... I am pregnant once again, this time with twins. I ran across Midori on Hotaru, and we spoke, and I asked her to be my contributor to which she agreed, and seemed a little happy to do. It was good to see one of my dearest friends again. It is now around 5:15 a.m here at Hotaru, and I have been invited to have breakfast with Tange-Shosho on a beach on Jiyuu at sunrise.

I wish you were here Taisa, I miss you, and would prefer to say all of this in person instead of a voice message. (A small sigh could be heard after this had been said.) I hope you are well Taisa, and are safe. Please respond when you get the chance? It may do me some good to hear from you.

With love,

Yuriko.

Congratulations, Yuriko!

It is good to hear that you are going to be a mother and I'm proud of your successes in battle.

Yui called me home shortly after the Asamoya's launch and I spent some time with her before going off on my newest mission - I am commanding a three-ship squadron that is charting star systems in the southern frontier. I will be close to Yuukan outpost if you need me.

Saito is good man but also rubbed me a little strange. We tried having sex once and it ended in disaster. (chuckle)

See you,
Hanako

For give me for the belated reply,

The life of a captain, not to mention motherhood, and my new relationship with Chujo Misato Tange, in addition to my constant talks with business investors has kept me terribly busy. Yuukan did not go as smoothly as I could've hoped. We engaged a number of SMX gunships and scouts barely within the system and destroyed them thankfully.

However, things took an added turn for the worse. MEGAMI detected faint energy readings within the asteroid belt of the Yuukan system and as it turned out, an SMX base was there in a hollowed out asteroid. A battleship and three more gunships guarded the base making me believe it to have been of some importance. I used one of our Chibi-MEGAMI probes to lure the gunship escorts away towards the outer planetoid belt of the system and we proceeded to dispatch the battleship. I also dropped a SD torpedo, we shall get to that in a moment Taisa. When the gunships returned I detonated the torpedo disabling the gunships momentarily to allow my Sakura Escorts to eliminate them. We proceeded to take the base in force although you may not have approved of my method of entering the base... Casualties were minimal, injuries more substantial, there was even a squad of Rippers guarding the interior leading me to further believe this base to be of some importance.

We destroyed the Rippers, and proceeded to the command area of the base...I do not know what I saw, but it was fairly odd Taisa...I do not know who or what it was, but I can safely say it was not friendly.

Anyways, enough of the post mission banter, it sounds as if I am giving you a report instead of a simple message! I was promoted to Chui, in addition I am now a mother of twins. Midori finally met them once we returned from the mission, I had them while inroute. They are both rather cute in their own ways. Enclosed was a picture of Tai, the white and violet haired youngling who had a somewhat blank expression on her face, and the same red eyes as Midori although she kept her hair in a boy cut. Beside her was another youngling, although this one looked more like Yuriko. Her name was Rikun. The white haired one is Tai, and the other is Rikun...both have such vastly different personalities, Tai is more well mannered, although she is by far the tomboy whereas Rikun is more lady like, but lacks manners. For the record, Midori's already displayed a samurai's 'Tough Love' to her.

Something else happened as well...I met someone I though had died, permanently. My birth mother, Yue. As it stands my father before he passed on managed to find her ST backup among the decommissioned ships at Nataria during the battle and managed to revive her. He sent her on her way before that flagship fired and he died...It is somewhat sad, I loose my father, but gain a mother in return. Sighing could be heard in the background. My first impression of her was...bluntness. Very very blunt...and somewhat dominating. She also gave Rikun her own brand of tough love, although now Rikun has learned even if only, the basics of manners.

Now, I do have a question for you Taisa. I have already asked my first officer, and she said yes. And I wish to ask you the same. Would you consent to being one of my children's godparents? I ask because quite frankly I wouldn't have anyone other than you and Koharu as their godparents.I can understand if you refuse, such a request is...big if not a little daunting. But, I think you would make a marvelous godparent all the same. Please reply when you get the chance?

Sincerely,
Yuriko

While I am happy for you, I cannot see myself being a parent to anyone right now. Please remember that I am a ship captain and have all the business that comes with that.
