I'm assuming that because I'm a Geshrin, the Type 28 NSP I am issued already has the correct grip for my hand. This is the case I'm hoping for at least.
Is this the case or will I be required to buy a replacement grip?
 
This is the case. You'll be issued (at no cost to you) one with an appropriate grip.

Yep! Strictly for the civilian models, of course. People love 'em in real life for a bit of personal flare. I'm not a fan of wacky graphics, myself, but custom grips can range from silly Punisher skulls to ornate wood carvings.
