Unexplored area?

When I recently looked at the map, I noticed that the top two parts of the map of known space was pretty much empty. Is there any plans to expand into this area, or is there a reason why its empty?

Yeah but now you've got me scared that the mods have it out for me. Well nevermind, Im just wondering if that is where we'll be heading next or if it will remain unexplored for a while longer?

Actually, that's a question I've been meaning to ask... in early (IE, before my joining... early to me!) star army, the SMX had translators (wierd humanoid pink things with funny accents) who asked for the surrender of the star army. YOu also refer to them as a "slaver" race. Do the SMX have any races under their control as slaves, warriors, food etc? Or is that a bit too forward to ask, as we haven't discovered any yet?

That's something the characters will have to discover for themselves.

Given we now have a Galaxy map instead of a Sector map, can we now travel out of the Sector as a whole, and onto the Galaxy Map? If so, can we design Galaxies?29x29 Lightyears isn't all that big. Less than a week travel from any single point.

If this is possible, could we find out how the original sector map was made? That way, we could possibly replicate the style to maintain consistency.

I want the RP to stay in the existing (Kagami) galaxy at this point. It's large enough that it should be plenty of space for a while. I'm not sure what you're referring to with 29x29 LY. The Kikyo Sector map is 120 LY wide and the galaxy map is going to be 1,550,000 LY wide. We will probably allow some sector maps to be submitted, but honestly I don't see a pressing need for territory in SARP as we haven't even finished filling out the Kikyo Sector, and I can already see the people creating new species wanting to put their guys on the opposite side of the galaxy where they will never interact with anyone else, which would defeat the purpose of this being an RP with a shared setting.
