Not sure which one to check for non faction specific technology.

Linked example is not a standard product use.

Still a non standard use but somewhat closer to it's intended use.

maybe. I can change it if necessary. It seems like the short of thing that can fit in either place. I'm picturing a space rated version of one of those blue tarps people put over things like damaged walls or collect leaves on. I don't know if I'd really consider that "technology" I'd put it in equipment thinking about items like socks and boots. There are so many different versions but in the end they still fill a certain purpose.
