Approved Submission VDR-1

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
Ammunition must be submitted separately and have its own wikipage.

I don't really get a sense of what the gun looks like. Can we get any kind of art for it? DOGA? Something?

Also, what is the damage rating?

Can we get fuller dimensions? Barrel length, sight radius, non/extended lengths, so on?

Why is the projectile so slow and has so little distance?

Quick heads up Doshii; it's not a PA gun. The ammo is way hotter than even 7.62x51mm NATO. It'll need an ammo page though, yes.

The Ammo of the SAAC I posted a while ago did not have its own page. Has this rule changed since you approved that?

As I was told, equipment did not need art for approval. No, this weapon will not receive art unless it's now a rule equipment needs art. I may create a piece for it if the weapon picks up in usage.

I am working on the damage rating now. 3 PDR in all likelihood.

The projectile moves about 400m a second faster than your average NATO 7.62 round. I have added more distance information.

Otherwise, I have taken the layout I used for the SAAC and replaced the original layout. I have answered all the same questions of the rifle I answered for the SAAC. It is only missing a picture.

For the sake of ease, I have made a page for both the .460 SVO and the 8x60mm VD

I have also modified the RPM of the VDR-1 to better accommodate the large round being used by personnel out of power armour. I am unsure is PDR 3 is an appropriate damage amount for something that imparts over 5000ft/lb of force on a target, so that's up in the air.

It hasn't; that's been the rule for some time. However, it was the only weapon you had at the time. Now that you have multiple weapons, you should create a collective ammo page that features all of your ammo types. Yamatai and the Chelti are examples you can use.

I misread "1,200" as fps, not m/s. A hazard of reading things late! My mistake.

PDR3 is fine; it's a bit of a cannon anyway, so you're fine.

I'll give it another glance later today.

I won't argue the ammo dimensions or performance with you; you can define it what you like, and if it finds its way into the wider setting, it can be adjudicated as desired by the GM or player. So moving on from that ...

What's that approval tag on the bottom? A copy from something else?

I don't see the separate ammo page yet.

Ammo pages have been added to both the SAAC and the VDR-1
