Virgilius Combat Exoskeleton:

Built as a way to protect and supplement soldiers without Power Armor. The exoskeleton is compatible with all power armors, so if a soldier is found having to evacuate their Power Armor, they aren't completely venerable. The exoskeleton, henceforth known as "Virgiliusâ€

1 -- 4-6 inches? That's tank or super thick power armor plating.

On another note about size, power armors are already designed for maximum size efficiency. Armor pilots commonly use suits in the nude or skin-tight suits, so even 0.4-0.6 inches may require extensive armor modification.

2 -- Won't the strength augmentation of the Beehive system interfere with the highly sensitive power armor controls? Could the suit itself disrupt or hamper neural interfaces?

3 -- Since this is supposed to be a smaller line of defense, would the Casimir system be appropriate? I mean, can pseudo-antigrav technology be built small enough to fit in a piloting suit?

4 -- Raw adrenaline seems pretty basic in this day and age. I'm certain some sort of enhanced synthetic adrenaline alternative could be produced fairly easily. It's just a minor detail compared to the suit itself, however, so I'm certain it can be ignored.
 
Due to new discoveries about the way the RPG works, I believe I'll need to do a few changes regarding size. In fact, it may be changed completely, to a skull suit instead.

1. Indeed, at the time of writing, I was thinking "make it small" but obviously I wasn't thinking straight. I mean, a Panzerkampfwagen III has an armor thickness of about 30mm all around.

And on that note, PAs all have a size range, like 5'1" - 5'10"

2. Perhaps a "Dormant" state would provide a solution. Inside a PA the Beehive would remain in active, the "Hive Chips" pretty much stacking on top of each other and no providing any conservation of energy. Then, once needed, a short charge would burst through the cells of the structure, activating each cell.

3. One could easily create a Casimir effect with tools from Radio Shack, although to a lesser degree, if they knew what they were doing. In fact, you could create it using beads on a string and a piezoelectric speaker, IIRC.

4. Yet the extreme use of adrenaline can lead to fragile and thin skin, ,SEVERE fatigue, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, irritability and anxiety, and very bad things happening to one's sexual drive and organs. The availability of the product is not the issue, but the effects on the body.

Indeed. I wanted to get the overall idea approved before delving into it. No point in typing out a detailed stat sheet if the general idea is thrown out the window.
 
Well before it gets approved I want, or perhaps need, to fill out things like "Who makes it?" and "Civilian or Government?" I haven't done that part because I'm still thinking of consequences and such. That'll be posted tomorrow.
 
Am I the only one that notices this is extremely similar to the HEV Suit worn by Gorden Freeman?

-It's a Hazmat/Combat suit
-It's black and orange
-Has "optional" helmet
-Has helmet display system
-Has jump pack add-on
-Has gravity gun
 
The suit is black and grey, the helmet having an orange visor, although if it's a problem I can change it. And the HEV IV had a boost jump attachment, but not like this one at all. It was a long jump. The Gravity Gun manipulated zero point energy, it's actual name being the "Zero Point Energy Manipulator Gun," while mine manipulates the Casimir effect. The Gravity Gun also wasn't part of the suit, but a weapon collected instead.

Also, if you think about it, the concept of the Artificial Powered Exoskeleton isn't new. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powered_exoskeleton Just like the idea of space combat through mechas and starships isn't new, yet here we have an RPG based solely on the concept, I too have made my own twist to this suit.
 
Whatever you call the gun, the Star Army doesn't have it in any smaller size than this, which is much smaller than something that can fit in a power armor. And that's the Star Army of Yamatai, which has the best microization of available tech in the SARP.

Also, you seem to expect Yamatai to buy this or make it. But Wes has stated that all possible KFY submissions must be discussed with him before they are proposed.

There's also the matter of where the company making this suit is coming from. We've seen no submission on it. You need to make that submission before we can even consider this.

This is why I suggested you slow down. We get a lot of very intelligent new players who come in and immediately begin submitting things. While the submissions are appreciated, they bog the SARP down when they are not well thought-out, which this submission arguably is.

Take your time. Learn about the setting. Then find a niche. It will be less work for all of us and a better submission from you.
