What Happens if Mishhu Attack Another Unallied Nation in Kikyo Sector?

What happens if Mishhu attack another nation in Kikyo Sector that is not allied with Yamatai Star Empire?

What if, more specifically, the Mishhu take over a planet of the Neshaten, Yamatai contacts them about the problem and the Neshaten say they'll handle it but Yamatai notes that they cannot/do not? What then? @Wes

Yamatai is at war with the Mishhuvurthyar and incredibly driven to fight them. The Star Army will attack the Mishhuvurthyar's forces whereever we find them. This means we would immediately engage Mishhuvurthyar forces regardless of whatever the Kingdom of Neshaten or any other nation says or wants; if necessary, this could include entering Neshaten territories without permission.

The Mishhu are a historic threat in the kikyo sector and not really a band of pirates or raiders that can be considered as a localized threat. Their very existence in an area warrants a response (Ignoring the times they didn't due to OOC such as nobody remembering or wanting to do something about a location they have invaded or persisted on in favor of doing other things like on Ukk, Osman, etc.)

Them showing up anywhere is an apocalyptic event that much like a plague cannot always simply be ignored because it risks bleeding out into the wider sector once a foothold has gotten established. The Nesh might be a bad example since their worlds are rather hard to find but I would assume that anywhere within the core of the sector the answer is non-negotiable; A fleet no matter what is within hours of reaching any core system and can be reached vice-versa in that time from the core powers.

Im sure Yamatai would be a bit more diplomatic about it than simply showing up unannounced and invading planets and would likely use any established diplomatic channels to inform them in the hours of transit to system and the days to reach the target locations that they respect the autonomy of X or Y nation; But, they are the pre-eminent experts on the subject firsthand of what the NMX are capable of, that Nation-X if in the sector likely saw that event from afar in the past couple Mishu wars and what the squids are capable of, and that while it is unfortunate, and they regret having to, out of necessity the Star Army will be arriving in some capacity to appraise the situation.

Then if they show up and the locals have everything in hand then they remain as a nice insurance policy and as advisors with expertise on the matter. And if it's a total clusterfudge I'm sure the Rikku leadership or Admiral on the scene will coordinate with local forces to deploy her own for maximum effect and to avoid local forces panicking and shooting at them while they can be deployed where they are needed the most or if the local infrastructure has completely broken down then diplomatic consideration might as well be tossed out the window until after the fire has been put out.

Anyone who was in the sector during the Mishhu wars I think would understand the necessity even if they don't like it. Because even if they weren't invaded it affected everyone in some manner or another, or could be seen from afar.

Yeah, for a full scale planetary takeover, the Star Army would definitely show up completely unannounced within about 30 seconds of getting the news with an overwhelming fleet presence. They have done this before, recently if we take the same situation and look outside the Kikyo Sector where the Third Mishhu War largely occurs.

There is no operational necessity to warn the unallied faction in a response situation. The razor’s edge time constraints and opsec considerations actually preclude trying to liaise with a Mishhuvurthyar victim nation. All of that diplomatic stuff tends to happen after Yamatai saves the day whether the invaded party appreciates it or not.
