White Beams, are they aether?

I was pondering a design element in one of my recent submissions, and I was curious if White Beams were considered a type of aether system or something like hyperspace taps.

In short; would the second Mishhu coming find White Beams to be a reason to invade?

"White beams" are slang for aether and the term shouldn't be used in tech articles.
