I have large reservations about this. Yamatai has always sort of distinguished itself from other factions/nations and such by it's lack of reliance for drones and other styles of automation.
Derran's NDI seemed to heavily resort on that. I remember Wes being leery of the Lorath drones too (perhaps partly because they were also self-replicating). Some stuff in NAM rely on drones as well (Uso seems fond of them, anyhow).
But Yamatai? Ehh. Seeing this sort of submission sort of ring alarm bells in my head. I'm not Wes, so I can't answer for his desire to use mass-produce drones, but from my experience this kind of material for Yamatai was to be avoided. Even the mobile weapon pods are slowly being phased out in favor of turrets.
If Wes approves, fine. But I'd really appreciate a justification from him as to why, just to get a better indication of the mental picture he had for his faction. Please.
