Tsenlanese Cultural Center

Kyoto, Yamatai Star Empire

Esari had spent the entire day exploring the cultural center, it felt strange for such exhibits to be hosted from home - yet it made him happy. He waited in one of the conference rooms in the Red Zone of the center. Two casks of chacelle(a red bubbly strong wine) sat on the table, along with a platter of fresh fruit imported from the United Norian Imperium. Esari had yet to be back to Vespa, but it was long overdue that he had the opportunity to talk with the Imperium's closest ally. He wore the standard white UNN duty uniform with gold embelishments and modified pauldrons displaying his status. Esari like most Vespan Norians had pink hair and crystal blue eyes. His slightly androgynous appearance gave just a slight feminine elegance to the more masculine body structure.

He stood at the head of the conference table and awaited the Imperial Premier. The conference room itself had a green and black natural look with paintings of the thick evergreen forests of Lorenz displayed.

Taisho Ketsurui-Shinjuku Hanako arrived at the cultural center in a private car, and emerged with an assistant and a Ketsurui Samurai. It was the first time in years she'd had one of the samurai with her. She headed up the stairs into the building. She recalled the spacious and beautiful lobby and reception area from her previous visit in YE 44 when it was opened after the Arrival of the Norians and her participation in Operation Fireplace. She headed for the red zone, looking around at the interesting designs and cultural artifacts the center held within. In a moment, she found the conference rooms and went to meet Esari in person for the first time. When Esari saw her, she could see the Star Army admiral was a short, slender woman with asian features and big golden eyes, and long hair that went from teal to purple at the tips. She was dressed in her military uniform, with medal ribbons and an award from the Hidden Sun Clan on it, and she carried a peaked cap under one arm. Spotting Esari, she greeted him and gave him a respectful bow.

Esari had at least done a little bit of research before he had arrived on Yamatai, he bowed in return, then returned the same gesture by crossing his right arm over his chest with his fist touching his left shoulder. "Welcome Premier, thank you so much for meeting with me today, I know it was a bit of a last minute engagement. I hope I have not disturbed your schedule too much," he said as his lithe form sat in the chair at the table. He gestured toward the casks of chacelle and fruit and he said, "A little taste of my home, thanks those in Tsenlan."

"Of course," Hanako said. She accepted the drink and moved forward, pouring herself a glass. She gave it a curious whiff and and then took a sip. "Welcome to the Kikyo Sector," she told him. "Is this your first time here?" she asked.

"Yes, this is my first time here. I just wish it had been on better terms. We had escorted a group of ships to Tsenlan and the invasion of Noria occurred as we waited at Tsenlan. Even we didn't expect those ships to get out of the shipyard, they are brave souls." he poured himself a glass of chacelle, and took a sip before he continued, "As are your Star Army, I watched as your soldiers worked tirelessly along with the others that aided those civilians."

"It is profoundly upsetting to hear of the fall of Noria in your home universe. I can only imagine how emotionally traumatizing it has been for the survivors to lose everything, to lose loved ones, and to have to leave behind almost everything they know to start again in an unfamiliar place. Yamatai is here for you during this time of recovery and will support you however we can. The Empire, unfortunately, is deeply embroiled in the galaxy-wide war against the Mishhuvurthyar and we need allies, and to have an ally such as yourself could be a great thing. When you're ready, we would love to have you at our side in the fight. But we are here not as an empire looking for support, but simply as friends helping friends, and doing the right thing by helping out in a bad situation," Hanako explained.

Esari listened carefully, and made eye contact when needed, "Thank you for your consideration of our situation. Thankfully we had moved both Vespa Lakara and Lorenz to the Kosuke Sector prior to the invasion. Sadly with Vespa's already booming population and space appropriate on Lorenz we will overwhelmed with civilians pretty much when the conflict started and we still believed this to be a civil war. " he took a brief sip of his chacelle and returned the glass to the table. "We have a lot ahead of us, with both Aetlantia and Noria left to liberate as well as our colonies on the frontier. It is a daunting but doable task. We too are deeply in a war of our own with the Craethel and their allies. Their entire strategy appears to have been rewritten, before they had no interest in territory or subjugation - they just wanted us exterminated." He then said to Hanako, "My sister is currently engaged in battle in the Denau System, a key system that should help us get back Aetlantia, since it has a lesser force guarding it. We however have allotted troops and ships for fighting the Mishhuvurthyar along side of your Star Army."

"Is there anything that Yamatai can do to help?" Hanako simply asked.

"Well knowing about your policy in regard to transuniversal travel being a secret, I do not want to impose. If you have any old colony ships, cargo vessels, or hospital ships that are not in use - we would certainly be able to use them, with outfitting of course." he said. The new Norian leader took another quick sip of cachelle and continued, "Our home universe is rather different than yours, the result of ships trying to cross without the proper outfitting, as we witnessed at Tsenlan is the result." he explained.

"I will see what we can do on that front. Unfortunately the scale of the war with the Mishhu means that lately every ship Yamatai can get working is being brought into service, including older ones like Kyoto-class carriers from the Ayenee era that were previously left as hulks laying in the dust at Sakura Fleet Depot. Perhaps we can help you on a longer-term scale by helping you build a new industrial complex in this universe. That means Yamatai assisting you with building shipyards and acquiring raw materials. The Mining Guild's recent joining of Yamatai could help in this regard as well, as they know how and where to find some of what you may need for building replacement ships."

"I see," Esari said, "Prior to the civil part of this conflict, Vespa began to build 12th Generation vessel, ones like the one I arrived here on. The civil conflict resulted thankfully, those ships being at Vespa and we have put most of them that were finished into service. So I understand the pressures the Mishhu War has put on your resources." he paused as Hanako mentioned building shipyards and acquiring materials. "Most of Lux Aurora''s shipyards were not near Noria, so I will keep that in mind. Raw materials however would be greatly appreciated."

"If and when Noria is restored to safety and control of the Norian forces, do you intend to go back, or to move the world here like some of the other worlds have been moved to the Kosuke sector," Hanako asked, interested to hear the plan. She wanted to know if they intended to stay or if this was a temporary arrangement of convenience taking shelter in the Kagami Galaxy. It would help for long-term planning if they knew the answer.

Esari thought that Hanako's question was a good one, "If Noria and Aetlantia are liberated, we hope to move those worlds to the Kosuke Sector. It was supposed to be a ten year plan starting with the move of our core worlds, then finding suitable planets for colonization to move our colonies." he quietly considered Hanako's words.

"There is space for you to settle and to grow. I promise Yamatai to be a good neighbor to Noria and we will help make a place for you. The Fifth Expeditionary Fleet will be pathfinders for that sector and will help keep it a safe place, working to purge it of any Mishhuvurthyar or other hostiles," Hanako assured Esari. She took another sip of the fine Norian wine, letting it rolling around and taking her time to experience the combinations of flavor.

Esari smiled and nodded in affirmation, "We humbly accept Yamatai's help wherever it can, as will we return such gestures. I wanted to add, that should any of your vessels wish to eventually explore the universe we will be slowly leaving behind. We will gladly outfit your ships for the transuniversal crossing, along with the other modifications that will need to be made." he paused as he adjusted his posture slightly, "Your Empire is one of our oldest allies, I am glad that we can find ways to assist each other - even under the storm clouds of wars neither of us ever wanted to be in." Esari added then, "I believe our intelligence service has recently transmitted an advisory about SMX movements in the Kosuke Sector. I have encouraged that to continue."

Hanako gave Esari a warm smile and gave his hands a warm squeeze. "Esari, it indeed is helpful. I am pleased to meet you. I am glad we are starting out. Empire to Empire, but also I hope to be friends on a person to person basis. The Eitans that have come before you have been good people and I expect you to follow in their footsteps. You have my assurance that you have my not only my support, but that of Taisho Yui and the Empress, Himiko, as well, in your resettlement to our universe. We all believe in you and in Noria's future, and we will be looking out for you."

Esari lightly squeezed her hands in return, it actually shocked him, he was actually comfortable doing it. "My sister and I give you our full support as well. I believe in the type of relationship person to person is something we can build going forward. Yamatai is the paradise people have claimed it is, I just hope through our mutual cooperation we can survive the battles ahead." he paused, but he knew he had to tell her. "Regrettably, I do have to inform you that we have received information that we are not the only ones outfitting ships. Apparently Sylix and Vaelaris handed everything over to Morg'gho willingly." He wanted to get it out of the way.

"Then they must be stopped. There is so much work ahead of us...but we are trying and will never give up," Hanako told Esari, raising her glass. "To victory over those who would do us harm."

He raised his glass in return, and said, "To our victories, and to our friendship lasting forever."
