Taii Tsukisaki Valesti, Captain of the YSS Heartbreaker, has ordered a formal request for assistance be registered. After following a distress signal we recently detected, the Heartbreaker has discovered a damaged space station containing the last members of the endangered Vekimen species. Following the orders handed down by Taisho Ketsurui Yui after her meeting with the Vekimen representative rescued by the Heartbreaker, Edtoto Nar'Sivaree, we have attempted to make contact and render aid. Unfortunately, the station has been infested by Mishhuvurthyar, likely delivered to the station by a scout vessel, much like the one we located Officer Sivaro within originally. Away teams have infiltrated the station to remove the parasite-infected Vekimen and make contact with the uninfected survivors, whose numbers are unfortunately low.
Furthermore, even if the Mishhuvurthyar threat is removed, the station is heavily damaged. Our scans and reports from Officer Sivaro have made it clear that the station was struggling to support the Vekimen before this incident, and acts of sabotage and other destruction by the infected has only worsened the problem. While combat operations are proceeding normally, we request backup to aid the suffering and undersupplied Vekimen, and to enact emergency repairs to the station, enabling their relocation to the chosen colony world as detailed in Taisho Ketsurui's original orders. Please forgive any delay in communications caused by relaying this message from deep in uncharted space via the YSS Seisenkyo, who will be moving to join and assist as well, after sending this message on its way. However, the Seisenkyo is only equipped to support the Heartbreaker, and will, at best, only be able to assist in stabilizing the station while we wait for further assistance.
