Approved Character [YSS Sakura II] FH-85

Looking over the character, a couple things; I'd like to see a link to the page with the info on this specialty model of Mimicom included. Also, serving on a Yamataian warship, she should be able to speak Yamataigo, the native language of Yamatai.

Ok, I read somewhere that only Trade was mandatory, but she probably would know it anyways so adjustment made, also made a page with the specialty model, probably need to make some more adjustments but not quite sure if I've done it right as of this moment, so though I'd check to see if it's coming along in the right direction.

Thank you for updating the language.

So to confirm this is not a pre existing model of mimicom? Any new technology must be approved for use in SARP before it can be used in game. So it will have to have a full submission and review in the new technology and setting elements forum before it can be used for a character.

I still might suggest making them a regular mimicom rather than something that needs appriving for new tech

Ok, I see what you mean... I'm use to RPG's with less strict rule systems, but that's ok, just have to get use to a new way of doing things. I will go through and rethink my character and see what I can figure out.

Ok, cool.

For the most part your character is fine, it is just the new tech. Now there is nothing preventing you from working up a new tech proposal for this updated mimicom model for approval and then your android character could be then upgraded in the future to include these features.

You will want to talk to Kai for that though, Origin Industries is his baby

I'm not gonna worry to much (especially since I will probably be doing that for other things eventually), all the additions were just to make her look cheaper than the standard Mimicoms, and to specialize her. Only one thing really mattered to me.

As it is the Standard Mimic does actually have places in the body to put things, so I figure sticking 1 'Ke-M2-G2902 Nodal Fabrication Module' (not 8 like before since I'm not cutting out as many systems.) will do the same thing using pre-existing tech, and to be fair it's a simpler way of doing things.

I deleted the new model page I made, and went through again stripping out any mention of FH-85 being part of a line, now she and a few others were commissioned to essentially operate the Fabrication modules for construction. I had to rewrite the Pre-RP section significantly (and it's shorter than before since she doesn't do much in those years.)

Anyways have a look and tell me what you think.

So, was doing a bit of upkeep on the Sakura's manifest page and noted we have 3 technicians aboard already. One specializing in armor, one information tech and one standard tech, so we're tech heavy. I apologize I did not note this earlier. I'm curious if you might want to specialize your character into another field possibly?

Just to clarify, but you're trying to jam a power armor grade nodal fabrication module into an android? And one designed for the Mindy, no less, which has almost unlimited power usage. I'm going to need to see some serious justification before that's okay. We're talking about an armor that active fusion batteries can't keep up with for even a few hours, and you're going to run it off of a personal computer's internal batteries?

Also, the history needs to be reworked. The Star Army has had much better and more efficient construction systems than using individual smaller nodal construction plants for a VERY long time. A lot of ships come with plants that make that one look tiny built in my default, and those are the small ships. Might be feasible to say a specific engineer ordered the model to help them with their work, but the SAoY would have no reason to buy something that they could have out performed 6 years ago when the fabrication module this character is using was made, let alone now.

Well the Fabrication node is only a single nodal system, and while numbers aren't listed, it shouldn't be to energy intensive since the next fabricators down are handheld portable ones with internal power sources (and current theory's on nanofabrication have them running off solar power). Assuming it does have high power requirements the Mimic does actually use a power reactor designed for power armour (just during normal operation the Mimic doesn't have to refuel for six consecutive months, I was thinking with this it be a weekly occurrence).

I see what you mean, I was figuring that a dozen mobile fabricators that can walk through the hallways of an in construction ship would be useful, but I'll rewrite so that an engineer purchased her to assist with his detailed work... should be able to write a longer history if I have something like that to work off of too so thanks for the input Aendri.

On a lesser note, busy today, will get little done.

Ok, well I went through and rewrote the history now that I don't have any schoolwork to do, I was able to go into more detail so it's more interesting than before.

Oh wow... I have no idea how I missed that, I've looked at this page maybe 20 times over the last few days. Eh Logistics or Sensor Specialist/General Scientist both make sense. She could probably also do Linguistics and Communication. I'd have to modify her back-story a little, but that's fine.

I will review your character when I get home from work tonight. Go ahead and choose a new devision to work for and factor that into your bio.

Origin guy here. Having read over the Bio in its first iteration I was sort of mad with the stuff you had writen without first seeking my permission about it. However, with the changes made from other people's suggestions and the new backstory I am actually starting to like the character, so, good on that. it definitely makes more sense now and doesn't step on my toes in any way like it did before.

Ok Gunsight, I'm thinking Unit Supply Officer, since that is the most logical choice, though because that includes OOC work I have to ask what that entails first.( I expect it's nothing too bad, but just in case it requires far more than it appears I need to ask.)

I'm really sorry Kai, I'm far to used to playing games where I end up writing much of the world because the GM's don't want to, so I was unconsciously taking liberty's that I had no right to. Just getting my head back to a more strict setting now. A year down the road once FH-85 has developed more I will probably be having long talks with you about what is and isn't possible to make, but for now I'm gonna restrict myself to the basics.
On that note, love what you've done with Origins, especially the Mimicom, it's been really fun reading all about the various systems and where else they are used, and how well they are formatted to make it simple.

Tye ooc aspect of the assignment is not something you will be dealing with. Myself and Yoshi have that all in hand. You just play your character.

As stated earlier, I will review the character tonight after work.

Couple final suggestions. You might want to make them a bit older. Its currently late YE 36 and your characters bio implies they have been around longer than YE 35.

Then you are going for logistics? If yes put it in as their occupation. With those sorted, youre character is approved for the sakura ii
