Personality: Ziv is relatively laid-back when he is not on duty, but is
always ready to give his all when the time comes. He can often be found tweaking
the systems on his Super Phalanx or relaxing while listening to music. He often
seems rather cold and distant, but when others take the time to get to know him,
they often find him extremely friendly and, if the need arises, loyal to no end.

Goals: To do his patriotic duty, while helping his fellow soldiers as

History
Ziv was born to a middle-class military family on the planet of Yamatai. Both
his father and mother served in the military since they were 18, meeting each
other during basic training, eventually falling in love and getting married. His
father worked on field systems, while his mother was a power armor pilot.
Both of his parents greatly stressed his education, and both took leave of the
military for 2 years at a time, in turn, until he was 10, to help in his
education. Because of this, he learned much of his schooling while young, and
was able to complete more schooling than the average person before leaving
school. In addition to basic schooling, his parents also trained in him the
basics of their respective fields, so that he was able to perform basic functions
on most computers and on the Super Phalanx power armor which his mother piloted.
Both of Ziv's parents were great patriots, and they made sure to instill these
values in Ziv as he was raised. Mostly, they were successful at this endeavor,
with Ziv joining the military a few days after his 18th birthday.
Skills:
# Communication: Ziv is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and
can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters
through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-
combat conditions. He is fluent in English. He can speak and write both correctly
and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.
Ziv also has a working knowledge of modern encryption techniques (he does not,
however, have a knowledge of the cracking of said algorithms).
# Fighting: Ziv received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous
training program. He is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like
conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons he is trained
in include energy pistols and rifles, knives, grenades, and power armor. He has
received the most in-depth training in power armor, both basic operation from
his mother in his childhood, as well as more advanced techniques from basic training.
# Technology Operation: Ziv is capable of operating any computer system that uses
the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. He is proficient in entering
and/or searching for information, as well as being able to write simple shell
scripts to perform common tasks.
# Mathematics: Ziv received intermediate to advanced mathematics training, up to and including calculus.
# Chemistry: Ziv has a rather complete, theoretical knowledge of chemistry from
his advanced schooling, allowing him to read and use chemical formulae, though
