Re: [Mission 19.3]

Wardroom

Mitsuko seemed focused on what the captain was saying, but it was hard to really listen. It had been a long day, and she had too much to think about. After Hanako left, she waited a few moments, taking a deep breath before standing. It was difficult, but she resisted the urge to look at her roommate when she spoke.

"Do your duty, Misato-Hei. I should do mine." She turned towards the door. "If they're meeting in the Cargo Bay, I should make sure it's presentable." With that, she began to head out. Once Mitsuko exited the room she slumped, unable to keep up the act, wearily trudging towards the Cargo Bay.

Med Lab

"Of course I will put you under I recently went without it and while I think it may speed the process to go in unsedated I'd need more study and I would never subject an unwilling crew member to that." She began to apply the sedative to Chieko quietly and calmly she gave a reassuring smile to her fellow crew member as Chieko slipped into unconsciousness. Izokia sat down next to her chair and began to watch for quirks in Chieko's sleeping body.

Med Lab

"Don't... do anything... funny," Chieko muttered as she fell asleep, her wicked grin fading into a cute little smile. The scientist seemed to twitch here and there, but nothing truly odd.

Wardroom

Bors watched as everyone started to filer out out the wardroom, sipping on his coffee as he contemplated leaving himself. Figuring it was for the better to get himself ready to go planet side once again he slammed the rest of the drink down before getting up from the table. He couldn't help but notice Misato banging her head against the table as he made his way towards the door, and walked up behind her giving her a slight knock on the back of the head with his empty coffee mug.

"You know your damaging the table with that thick head of yours." a hint of sarcasm in his voice, "Plus I don't think its good for your head neither." Shaking his head at the blue neko he took a few more steps towards the door before looking back over his shoulder, "You've had a long day, If you want to sit this one out go for it, plus we'll need someone capable to lead the rescue party once this endeavor goes south."

Saying nothing else Bors disposed of his mug before heading out of the Wardroom to medical to get his back up.

Med Lab

Izokia was heavily invested in her notes on Chieko's sleep when Bors walked into the Lab. The sound of the door opening nearly sent her out of her seat, she suppressed a startled yelp at the same time. She placed her notes down on her seat. Izokia turned towards Riko and gave him a nervous smile. "You must be here for your backup? I'm very sorry but you will have to wait for a few minutes."

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Med Lab

Once the process had started, Chieko was front row seat to the things that she had said seat to in her life. Various pranks she played, the kitchen incident that nearly got her grounded for a month, the run in with that two headed snake. Outside, her eyes seemed to tighten for that split second the last image came up.

A few first times were next on the list as well as a few science fair awards, all seeming to collate into a half pleasant, half devious smile. There were graduation ceremonies, sky diving, snoozeriffic lectures - the periodic table even drifted through her field of view. Then her body looked like it wanted to shake, were it not for its own narcotic that kept it from moving, as the Battle of Yamatai and its aftermath ran through her mind.

Eventually she calmed down again until her eyes seemed to roll around behind their lids with her Star Army basic training, her career training, and the trip to arrive on the Eucharis. The process then stopped and moments later the scientist's eyes fluttered open as the drugs wore off.

"What a mess," Chieko commented with a mocking grin, "Someone needs to get a mop in there and go at it. I want the place sparkling when I get back."

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Once dinner had arrived, Natsumi had happily eaten her fill. The events of the day had worked up a serious appetite. Sufficiently stuffed with good food, the operator had excused herself from the wardroom and headed out.

Natsumi figured it best she take a shift on the bridge and help the Shosho if she could. It had been a little bit since she had done a shift on the bridge anyways.

She stepped through the hatch into the command compartment and bowed to Hanako. "Good evening, Shosho, may I be of any help?" she asked

Bridge

Sune sat at the Mission Ops station, monitoring the sensor data. There was plenty of it. He had noted Hanako's arrival with a simple greeting as he tried to make sense out of the data. The fact that this planet had not been here previously troubled him. If it could appear, then it could just as easily disappear.

Bridge

"Go ahead and land the ship at the landing area they directed us to. The coordinates are already loaded into the computer," Hanako directed Natsumi. "We will go see who or what we are dealing with," she softly smiled.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Bridge

"Yes, ma'am" Natsumi said and took her station, settling into the pilots seat comfortably. Her fingers danced over her control plate as she accessed the flight systems and plugged in the coordinates that had been supplied to them for a landing zone.

Natsumi piloted the sleek warship in. Atmospheric entry went smoothly with just the slightest of a shudder as the air pressure increased. She was taken back by the sheer scale of the artificial world. She had never seen anything like it. She had seen big structures before, the Star Fortresses were massive, but this was on such a different scale it made even those huge structures look like a grain of rice in scale.

"Have you ever seen anything like this?" the snowy haired neko asked of her Captain as she piloted them in.

Soon they were on final approach. The landing zone was clearly marked out and designated, even before the assisting landing indicators flashed up on her screens Natsumi could see the spot prepared for them. She slowed the Eucharis, her altitude dwindled and the craft came to a standstill hover above the landing spot.

Natsumi tapped at her panel, extending the gunship's landing gear, the large clawed feet sliding out of their protective compartments as she warship settled down, coming to rest on the gear, sinking a little as the shocks absorbed the relatively low downward momentum of the ship and the tonnage as gravity manipulation slackened off.

"And we are down" Natsumi announced, her eyes on her panel, making sure everything was proper.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Wardroom

With nothing else to do, dinner finished, and Izokia in the medlab for the time being, Ayumi returned to her quarters. Her intention was to relax for a few short moments before taking up residence in the medlab for the length of the away mission. She had misgivings. The behaviour of the various crew members had her slightly on edge, she wanted to remain on hand just in case.

Re: [Mission 19.3]

Lounge

After her backup and some food, Chieko located a chair in the lounge and sat down with her hat in her lap. She began messing around with her science scanner, running through what they may find and what programs she ought to prioritize. The scientist twitched at the initial rumbling as they started to land, then sighed, relaxing until landing.
