Leo Star Fortress
The military arm of Leo Star Fortress was abuzz with activity. Ships of all shapes and sizes were in port and small craft skittered about them, taking crew or supplies to or fro. A squadron of smaller warships, Chiaki and Yui class escorts and scouts, was making sail, slipping their moorings and gently cruising away from their ports, making for open space. Deeper into the military complex lay several larger vessels, cruisers, heavy cruisers, battleships and the Tenth Standard Fleet's new flagship, a Glorious Chiharu class flagship, YSS Glorious Sakishima.
Not far off from the flagship lay the Sharie class battleship YSS Takamagahara NB-S10-753, newly completed and commissioned into the fleet. Her pale blue-gray hull gleamed in the dim space dock hangar, her perfectly painted hull and lack of any dirt or the normal wear of even a years service, told how new the massive warship was.
She had been built in the home system, constructed near Yamatai and had been a pet project of Tenth Fleet's new supreme commander, a warship outfit to carry a crew made up entirely of mini neko. Takamagahara had so been completed with some special modifications to compliment her tiny scale crew, the addition of tiny scale chairs and control stations at vital stations and all sorts of other things needed for people less than a foot tall.
Despite these adjustments, the compartments and passages were still their normal size, to the Takamagahara could take on crew and passengers of normal size if needed as well, not that they were starting with any.
On the bridge floated the commanding officer, Shosa Ise Momoe. She had been in command of the ship for some while now, having overseen the last half of her construction and her acceptance trials. With the ship now fully completed and operational she had been transitioned to her operating area with a temporary skeleton crew and now awaited her full crew to board before beginning her first mission.
Momoe was of average height for a mini neko, pleasing build with nice curves and had long flowing teal hair framing her creamy face and brilliant violet eyes. She buzzed about the bridge lazily, looking for any specks of dust that might have settled on one of her polished to perfection control consoles. She had very little to do while she waited. The skeleton crew had disembarked and, save for a few techs here and there, she was the only person inhabiting the 1235 meter long battleship. That would change soon though, she'd already had word from the Taisho that the crew would begin boarding within the hour and that her officers and senior enlisted staff should arrive at any time.
