Potato Salad
Leo Star Fortress

The military arm of Leo Star Fortress was abuzz with activity. Ships of all shapes and sizes were in port and small craft skittered about them, taking crew or supplies to or fro. A squadron of smaller warships, Chiaki and Yui class escorts and scouts, was making sail, slipping their moorings and gently cruising away from their ports, making for open space. Deeper into the military complex lay several larger vessels, cruisers, heavy cruisers, battleships and the Tenth Standard Fleet's new flagship, a Glorious Chiharu class flagship, YSS Glorious Sakishima.

Not far off from the flagship lay the Sharie class battleship YSS Takamagahara NB-S10-753, newly completed and commissioned into the fleet. Her pale blue-gray hull gleamed in the dim space dock hangar, her perfectly painted hull and lack of any dirt or the normal wear of even a years service, told how new the massive warship was.

She had been built in the home system, constructed near Yamatai and had been a pet project of Tenth Fleet's new supreme commander, a warship outfit to carry a crew made up entirely of mini neko. Takamagahara had so been completed with some special modifications to compliment her tiny scale crew, the addition of tiny scale chairs and control stations at vital stations and all sorts of other things needed for people less than a foot tall.

Despite these adjustments, the compartments and passages were still their normal size, to the Takamagahara could take on crew and passengers of normal size if needed as well, not that they were starting with any.

On the bridge floated the commanding officer, Shosa Ise Momoe. She had been in command of the ship for some while now, having overseen the last half of her construction and her acceptance trials. With the ship now fully completed and operational she had been transitioned to her operating area with a temporary skeleton crew and now awaited her full crew to board before beginning her first mission.

Momoe was of average height for a mini neko, pleasing build with nice curves and had long flowing teal hair framing her creamy face and brilliant violet eyes. She buzzed about the bridge lazily, looking for any specks of dust that might have settled on one of her polished to perfection control consoles. She had very little to do while she waited. The skeleton crew had disembarked and, save for a few techs here and there, she was the only person inhabiting the 1235 meter long battleship. That would change soon though, she'd already had word from the Taisho that the crew would begin boarding within the hour and that her officers and senior enlisted staff should arrive at any time.

Leo Star Fortress

Miiko sighed. The day had been long and she hadn't even boarded the new vessel that she had been assigned to. A series of truly unfortunate events had left her without luggage or possessions as she drifted down the hall, floating around the heads of other Nekovalkyrja and other Yamataian citizens as she made her way toward the umbilical that connected to the massive Sharie-class. She supposed the one benefit was that her uniform would look immaculate when she presented herself to the Shosa.

With the Shosa on her mind Miiko continued to drift along wondering what it would be like to meet her commanding officer. After all what would one of the Ise clan be like? Miiko during her relatively short career had heard little snippets of gossip about the sisters however, she was luckily wise enough to know that rumours were hardly trustworthy. In the end it was clear that the best thing to do would be to make the best impression she could and hope for the best. Perhaps the encounter would turn out to be fun.

Passing the checkpoint Miiko started off down the halls of the ship, directing herself according to the schematic making navigation even within the huge vessel fairly simple and soon enough she found herself outside of the Bridge. Twitching her ears and checking herself over Miiko steeled herself for the worst before floating into the Bridge. Spotting the Shosa, Miiko paused in mid air and bowed while speaking up in a carefully even tone, "Uehara Miiko, Nito-Heisho and Chief Engineer reporting for duty aboard the YSS Takamagahara."

Transport Shuttle

Emi couldn't remember the last time she had been as excited as she was currently. Three and a half years it had been since she'd seen her sister in the flesh, three and a half long years. And yet it had felt as though it were only a day ago she had left her sister to return back to their planet of origin. She and her twin sister Amaterasu Aki were often referred to as "Snow Kittens", having been created on Vicky, with their stark white hair and golden eyes. They were among the first NH-33M Mini Neko to come from the icy planet. Times had changed of course and while Emi shared a lot of features with Aki, they had changed a bit visually too.

"We are nearing Leo Star Fortress, only a couple minutes before we arrive." Her shuttle pilot called back.

For the most part it was a nice but long trip to the starbase from Kyoto, over 70 Light years to traverse to get to her newly assigned home. Emi played with a bit of her hair absentmindedly and hummed a soft tune to herself as the shuttle pressed on then dropped out of hyperspace, preparing for it's final approach to the massive starbase. "I can't wait to see Aki again, and to think we'll be on such a huge ship together... oh the fun we'll have~" Emi thought to herself.

Leo Star Fortress

Aki looked to her multi-function bracelet, then back to the volumetric display of her personal holographic computer, continuing to work on sorting and organizing what looked to be a huge database of manuals and training modules for her newly assigned position within the YSS Takamagahara. She still had a couple more minutes before her sister Amaterasu Emi would arrive at the station. "Everything seems in order. Perhaps Emi is less... overwhelming... now that we have a few years to us." She knew it was wishful thinking, however it didn't change the fact they were able to be reunited after so long.

Having closed down her computer, Aki gathered up her things onto a miniaturized cart and began making her way toward the spacedock where Emi would released to. There was a footlocker and a duffle bag, the rest of her gear would come from whatever would be assigned to her on the Sharie-class Battleship. "Should be any moment now and..."

"Aki? AKI!!" Called a familiar voice from another diminutive form, followed by a blur of motion and Aki's body being impacted by the form of her sister in what looked to be a very excited tackle hug of sorts. "Aki! It's so good to see you again! I can't believe how long it's been. Isn't this great? We're going to be back together, you and me against the universe..." Emi ranted excitedly atop her sister.

"Emi..." said Aki, pinned beneath Emi. "Emi." She said a little louder.

"...I love what you've done with your hair, it's so lovely...."

"EMI!" Aki yelled, finally interrupting Emi.

"Yes Aki?"

"We're going to be late. Please get off of me." Aki said, her voice lowering and becoming deadpan in it's tone.

"Right, sorry Aki." Emi said, realizing she was overly excited.

"It's good to see you too Emi, let's get to the ship." Aki offered, with a soft half smile.

With their things in tow, Aki and Emi made their way to the umbilical and then onto the largest ship either one of them had even been on. While Aki remained calm, collected and disturbingly emotionless, Emi tittered and could hardly contain her excitement. While it wasn't terribly long before the twins found their way to the Bridge, it was Emi's fault they had gotten lost for a minor amount of time. Once there, the twins entered the Bridge and floated up to where the Shosa was, seeing another of the crew had found their way and introduced themselves.

Emi bowed to the Mint haired Mini then saluted the Shosa while Aki had noticed she was the lowest rank in the room at the time and brought herself to salute both higher ranked individuals before her.

"Shoi Kohosei Amaterasu Emi, SAINT, reporting for duty." Emi said crisply.

Delaying only a moment, mostly caught off guard due to Emi's professionalism, Aki spoke with careful consideration, "Joto Hei Amaterasu Aki, Information Technology Specialist, reporting for duty."

Shuichi Hinata stared out a small window, following the path of the transport shuttle that had taken her away from a particular Henry Chen class training vessel, where she had spent most of her rather brief existence, before finally turning away, and cracking a grin. She was finally going to get to use all that training!

The mini neko carried what little she owned that wasn't already being worn, and merrily skipped, hopped, and hovered her way her assignment. Shuichi had bright emerald green hair, and eyes to match, with almost an almost blood red crimson coloring over a lean build, sadly lacking many curves. She currently wore her favorite, and only pair of re-sized Emrys Uno Sunglasses, with mirrored black circular lenses, with form fitting side shields, to go with her duty uniform, complete with the star army cap.

As she traveled, she offhandedly wondered what service on a mini only ship would be like, and by extension, what the Shusa would be like. But of course, she didn't dwell on this long, absentmindedly observing the surroundings while making sure to avoid the less observant ones about before finally arriving abaord the ship. "Maybe I'm a bit early..." she muttered to herself as she meandered in the general direction of the bridge, arriving to find what Shuichi assumed were amoung the few other early arrivals.

"Santo hei Shuichi Hinata, fighter pilot, and I am ready for duty ma'am." She said as she bowed, careful to do so in such a way that didn't make her drop the hat. She Saluted the others upon discovering how outranked she was on all accounts.

YSS Takamagahara

A Neko - clad in the full regalia of the Type 35 Class A (Formal) Uniform, equipped with an onyx-hued saya (attached to her belt) and wearing a rather stormy expression, entered the bridge, wincing as she took notice of the four others who'd arrived prior to her. Damn that ignorant fool of a gate agent....this is precisely why I should've been on the first shuttle, not the second one thirty minutes later! Protocol dictates that I be the first to greet the Shosa, not the fifth!

Stepping up behind her lower-ranked crewmates - all dressed in the completely inappropriate garb of the Class B Uniform (Have they no respect?) - the Mini composed her features as best she could, saluted, and announced her arrival. "Taii Nakadai Hitomi, reporting for duty."

So many new people at once! Momoe had not expected to be innundated with her new senior staff so rapid fire as this. The teal haired neko smiled as she greeted each of them in the order of their arrival.

Momoe noted the XO coming in at the back of the herd, the white panels on her pristine class a uniform made the senior officer stand out from the multitude of colors that made up everyone elses uniforms. Momoe herself was in her class b sweater uniform, she prefered comfort and functionality over fanciness. Along with the class b, she had the ships baseball cap on her head rather than the officers peaked cap, and a fuzzy multicolor scarf was draped about her shoulders.

"Well!" she exclaimed and smiled broadly. "I'm so glad all of you made it so quick! Welcome aboard the Takamagahara"

The arrival of what appeared to be twins, one outranking her and one below her was unexpected, but generally appreciated. Fussing with her fringe of mint green hair Miiko observed the pair while paying her respects to the Shoi Kohosei and politely acknowledging the Joto Hei before settling back to see what the Shosa would have in store for her. Before the question could be answered a Hei wandered in amusingly coloured in a way that reminded Miiko of Yuletide, as a fighter pilot it seemed that the Hei would be in her hands at least some of the time, after all she was to rule the hardware of the vessel.

Then the Taii arrived. While Miiko had enjoyed a far from pleasant day, the Taii looked like someone had urinated in her breakfast, lunch, and possibly already in her dinner. Stormy seemed a bit of an understatement in regard to her disposition and Miiko wondered if she'd try to ride the crew hard. Perhaps she was insecure like that? With her thoughts kept to herself Miiko bowed to the furious looking Taii giving the respect that was due before turning her attention back to the rather cheerful and contrasting Shosa.

At her greeting Miiko couldn't help but smile in return nearly chiming in with her a comment of her own before thinking better of it and holding her tongue as she waited to see whether duties would be assigned sooner rather than later. Hopefully she'd also have the time to make herself some new clothes and basic amenities, after all while a volumetric uniform was functional, it was a little chilly.

YSS Takamagahara, Bridge

Two others had joined since the arrival of the twins, with one a Hei still very wet behind their ears and a Taii that seems to invoke the very essence of a blizzard herself - a force of natural not so uncommon to the planet of the Amaterasu sisters' creation, the icy planet Vicky.

Emi and Aki exchanged a silent but knowing glance then turned about properly and saluted the Taii, after which they returned back to face the easy going Shosa and the cold looking mint haired neko. As nonchalantly as possibly, both Aki and Emi stole scanning glances at the red paneled, and much smaller, miniature neko. With close attention someone might have even picked up Aki sniffing the air picking up on a familiar scent subtly hanging about them. Almost instantaneously, Emi linked to Aki for private telepathic communication.

"Minty seems a bit... cold... don't you think Aki?"

"I smell... mint. It's subtle and faint, but not like perfume. Oh, yes. Minty is cold Emi."

"Well, why don't we warm her up?"
Emi offered tinged with mischief.

"Taii might get mad at us..." Aki countered.

"Fine, then I'll hug her myself~" Emi teased.

As Emi began to move forward toward Uehara-Heisho, Aki delayed only a split second, and in unison as only twins could do they greeted the mint-haired neko on a much more friendly basis. "Minty Heisho, it's a pleasure to meet you." They offered as they both hugged Miiko, though Aki couldn't emulate the enthusiastic tone Emi gave. The hug however was rather sincere.

Shuichi bowed to the new arrival, and took a step backwards, a very healthy step backwards, before turning around to take stock of the room. This was obviously an officer's meeting she had stumbled upon. Between the laid back Shusa, small looking engineer, and the twins, they almost all offset the frigid aura the Taii gave off with sheer enthusiasm. Shuichi Grinned and thought Looks like an fun group.

And then the seemingly spontaneous hugging. The strawberry tilted her head and raised an eyebrow at the display, still cracking a grin. "Huh." Now that she was paying attention, she didn't hear any fabric rustling from that hug. Her grin only grew wider as she stifled a laugh, seriously considering joining the hug before deciding it would be best to not to anger the one that would likely be handling parts of her fighter.

YSS Takamagahara

Hitomi sighed to herself as she took in the Shosa's...informal appearance and mannerisms. This day just keeps getting better and better. How on Yamatai am I supposed to uphold discipline without any support from the captain? I mean, that's a nice-looking scarf, but this isn't time or place fir such casual attire! The Neko was about to reply to the Shosa when the two similar-looking Nekos - twins, if memory served (which, being a Neko, meant that it always did) - rushed over to the red-paneled engineer - Miiko - and...hugged her?

Then Hitomi - still in shock over the blatant violation of ettiquette - noticed Miiko's clothing flicker.

But that means....Oh, no. Not while I'm the XO.

With a tone cold enough to freeze liquid helium and a matching glare, the XO turned towards the errant trio. "Amaterasu-Kohosei and Amaterasu-Hei, may I remind you two that we are soldiers, not filthy degenerates, something that you" - she shifted her gaze to Emi - "of all people should know as an officer and a SAINT operative - and I'm quite sure your instructor would be...disappointed with your carefree attitude and blatant violation of protocol. And" - the target now Miiko - "as for you, Uehara-Heisho, would you be so kind as to enlighten me on your lack of attire? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but we're not in some Nepleslian brothel, are we?"

As she waited it came to Miiko's attention that she had caught the attention of the twins who appeared to be stealing glances at her periodically. Uncertain what to think of this Miiko was about to turn her attention back to the Shosa when the pair suddenly broke from their position moving toward her. Before Miiko could inquire what they were doing she was presented with a twinned greeting, that for some reason had bestowed the name 'Minty-Heisho' upon her a moment before she was wrapped in soft warmth.

Suddenly acutely aware that she was nude beneath the volumetric clothing, Miiko folded her ears back as unfamiliar hands touched her cool flesh bringing with them a startling warmth. While the hug had turned out to be pleasant and warm Miiko wasn't exactly sure how to respond to the sudden affection, her need to make a decision however was cut short by the cuttingly cold voice of the Taii. It seemed someone who wasn't presently pressed between two strangers had taken offence to recent events.

Both Emi and Aki had been more than pleasantly surprised to feel the cool skin of the mint haired engineer between them, in their more than friendly show of admiration for the one they happily referred to as 'Minty Heisho'. Not wanting to make things any worse than they were or could have been, they seemed to keep their movements well under control, but more-so Emi seemed disappointed that everyone in the room had taken notice to Miiko's lack of actual clothing while Aki was much more interested in saturating her sense of smell with the source of mint fragrance within the room.

Just as Aki had warned, the frigid Taii had begun her icy storm, and all three in their seemingly harmless embrace had become the targets. Emi raised an eyebrow questioningly and was the first to release Miiko turning to face Hitomi Taii, her visage changing into a bit of a smirk that held a burning fire behind it. "It seems the Taii hasn't done her homework on her SAINT officer, or how this Shoi Kohosei came to be an officer at all. It will be such a pleasure working with you Taii." Emi, perhaps mistakenly, offered a bit too much sass to the First Officer in her response.

Aki had slipped into her own little world while Hitomi Taii had chastised the three of them, all she had on her mind of the overwhelming enjoyment of the scent of her favourite treat emanating from the unfortunately nude neko she clung to. She was near oblivious to the sheer awkwardness of the situation, only realizing the Taii had said anything at all when she felt a shift in Miiko, to which she released her and looked around the room almost blankly. "Gomen..." Aki offered, though she looked confused as to why she needed to apologize.

There was a brief glance shot at the Shoi Kohosei as she responded, however the awkward apology earned Miiko's first response, "No need to apologize Amaterasu-Hei. You have not caused me any inconvenience." Her tone had been gentle, however as she looked to the Taii her silver eyes flashed.

Instead of responding with anger, or sass as the SAINT Operative had, Miiko instead smiled sweetly her tone flowing out initially seeming courteous, however as she spoke an uncanny edge to her tone proved reminiscent of stories of too perfect wives, or loved ones being replaced by strange creatures, "You will have to forgive me if I am a little blunt Taii, as my manners might not be up to standard at the moment, this is due to my having had a long day. Since you ask though, I will be happy to shed light on my difficulties.

"I was up early to prepare for the day wanting to make a good impression with the officers and other crew that I would be serving alongside. This however proved to be a mistake as an incident in the lavatory involving one of our larger sisters thoroughly ruined my uniform. Further more while cleaning up so as to once again make myself presentable to the crew my possessions seem to have been cleaned up by either one of the staff who may not have been fully awake, or by an automated drone that mistook them for clutter. Either way the practical result was that I was left without clothing or possessions.

"While I may have taken the time to requisition a new set of issued equipment, I deemed that it was more important to be on time for the important meeting we all find ourselves attending presently. As such I did the best that I could with limited resources, not expecting my unfortunate circumstances to catch the attention of everyone in the room.

"Furthermore to adress the point of conduct; had I been adverse to the approach of Amaterasu-Kohosei and Amaterasu-Hei, as you pointed out I am a soldier. I could have with little difficulty made my displeasure clear before they contacted me. Instead however I saw no reason to reject a show of affectionate camaraderie in hopes of building a better rapport with my peers.

"It seems however that thoughts of Nepleslian brothels as you put it, are on the forefront of your mind. Though I do not see how they are relevant to present circumstances, would you care to enlighten me Taii?" Lapsing into silence Miiko maintained her pleasant smile and outwardly receptive body language all the while watching the Taii as she awaited her response.

Even Emi, who had first opened her mouth to respond to the First Officer, seemed floored by Miiko's outpouring. Had she not already hugged her, Emi definitely would have after hearing about the unfortunate events prior to meeting. Silently, and well encrypted, Emi sent Miiko a telepathic communique of three words. Though not exactly meaning them to be on the level of one lover to another, she very well meant to express her instant admiration of the "Minty" Heisho.

Aki had wondered to herself what it was like to have such unfortunate circumstances befall her, to better understand what Miiko had gone through and to try and empathize with her. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect, proving more difficult than Aki could muster with her efforts. With a soft sigh she tilted her head and looked to Hitomi-Taii and awaited whatever reaction would ensue.

They DARE be insubordinate to ME,a superior officer? Those moronic bakas will re- Hitomi was on the verge of throwing Miiko and Emi into the Brig when a second voice interrupted the Taii's internal monologue. Cool your tits, Ms. Ice Queen. Stop bitching, start apologizing.

Blinking several times, Hitomi thought What the...? and opened her mouth in order to continue her icy tirade - only to close it as she realized that, indeed, both Emi and Miiko were right. Brilliant. Might as well...apologize. Strange. "My...apologies, Amaterasu-Hei, Amaterasu-Kohosei, and Uehara-Heisho. I was unaware of any difficulties encountered prior to embarkation, and" - Hitomi turned to face Emi - "I unfortunately have not been able to review your personnel file, having only arrived here recently myself. Lastly, regarding the brothel, I honestly do not know where the idea came from." She sighed, then continued on. "Just...in the future, please try to show a bit of discipline." That done, the Mini-Neko's thoughts returned to their previous topic. Where did that voice come from? It was my own...yet I know that wasn't me. Most peculiar...

Momoe yawned as all of this went down. She rolled her eyes as she fiddled with the ends of her scarf. Shecwas not happy to see how short fuzed her new XO seemed to be, and it worried her how fast Hitomi was to go off on the others. She was about to wade in, when the XO shifted gears entirely.

'That was odd' she mused and crossed her arms over her chest. "So, if you all have that out of your systems" she said, taking a couple steps forward to impose herself amongst the group. "Miiko, the fab bay can produce all the clothes you need in minutes" she added, glancing at Minty. "other than that, I think we should start prepping for departure. We have the crew boarding and I'd like to get into space as soon as everyone is on"

YSS Takamagahara, Bridge

The sudden shift from open rage to awkward apology was a surprise to Miiko, it would have been a greater shock if she herself were not fond of playing with contrasting emotional responses. Even so it left the small Neko intrigued and a little impressed with the Taii. Before she could speak up again the Shosa stepped into the encounter as Miiko had expected, however her only suggestion was that they prepare for departure, another curiosity in the command staff it seemed.

Gleeful with the knowledge that at the very least her peers wouldn't be predictable Miiko started by bowing to the the Shosa and speaking, "Thank you Shosa. I will go familiarize myself with our fair Takamagahara." Bowing to the Taii in turn Miiko sent a short polite message to the XO, Thank you for your understanding Taii. I will be sure to better myself and ensure that conduct is not an issue in the future.

Offering quick respectful acknowledgement to the Amaterasu twins, Miiko turned giving Shuichi-hei a nod and a smile before floating out of the Bridge heading for the nearest maintenance conduit before vanishing within as she travelled swiftly toward the living heart of the ship where the blissful task of ensuring that she was properly functioning would begin, with an inspection ofcourse.

Emi was fully expecting things to escalate even more than they had. She had fully expected the Taii to cite her for insubordination and be thrown in the brig for sassing a superior officer, especially in front of lower ranked personnel. These were all things she had come to expect as was the normal rank and file of Yamatai's Star Army; as such she prepared herself to be reprimanded and suffer the consequences of such, along with her partner in crime Uehara-Heisho.

However, things were not as they seemed and Nakadai-Taii completely flip-flopped in her reaction, the turnaround in her demeanor and subsequent apology left Emi with a shocked look written all over her face and her mouth agape. When Ise-Shosa stepped forward and addressed the group, Aki was actually the first of the Amaterasu sisters to make a move which just so happened to be closing Emi's mouth.

Aki regarded the Shosa, taking the initiative to follow Uehara-Heisho's example and get right away to her requested duties. "Shosa, I'll head to engineering and begin running a system wide computer diagnostic." In normal Aki fashion, there was a pause as if she were waiting for something, when actually it was just her awkward tendencies presenting themselves. After just a few moments Aki continued, offering bows to everyone in the room, then set off to get her computer and head to engineering.

Emi looked to Shosa, then to Taii, then spoke up after swallowing the pill that was the aftershock of the quickly fleeting situation. "I'm not sure if we have assignments for rooms and such yet, but I'd like to request shared accommodations between myself, Amaterasu-Hei, and Uehara-Heisho. If that's ok Shosa..." She paused looking to the Shosa, then to the Taii, "...and Taii."

Shuichi gave a smile and small wave as the engineer left the room, hardly fazed by the confrantation between the Taii and the much more interesting twins and engineer. It was almost like two forces of nature butting heads rather than an officer and subordinate. Her thoughts of what to do with herself while the other few crew members aboard the ship prepared for launch were interrupted by the much more intriquing thought of the twins and the engineer sleeping in one room. Her grin only grew wider as she imagined the things they'd be doing. "Good thing my skin is already as red as its going to get." She thought to herself as she felt blood rushing to her face.

She shook her head and regained the composure she never had, asking "Is there anything I should be doing?"

YSS Takamagahara, Bridge

Her glacial fury having mostly resided at this point, Hitomi acknowledged the departure of Aki and Miiko with a nod, then assumed a slightly blank facial expression as she pulled up the relevant section of the Star Army Manual, Title 2. After a few moments, she turned towards the remaining Amaterasu. "According to the relevant sections of Title 2, Star Army Manual, subtitle four, a transfer of that nature would be permitted if a Form 3-1001.39F was submitted beforehand - though in a case such as this, I'd have no problems providing I received the completed form by 1800 hours tomorrow evening.

That done, Hitomi addressed Shuichi - or was about to, when a third voice - this one silky, lascivious, and...frightening? intruded on her thoughts. Rules are merely tools for weaklings, my little warrior princess.

Shuddering and noticeably more pale, Hitomi did her best to continue onwards - despite, for the first time in her memory, being suddenly and inexplicably afraid. "U-u-unless the Sho...Shosa prefers otherwise, I'd r-recommend that you locate your quarters and make sure that your possessions are stowed properly." What...what was that?

Emi was rather happy by the affirmation she received from Nakadai-Taii, but was caught completely off guard by the again sudden change in the First Officer's demeanor. A second change bringing about another drastic shift, from strict and severe to understanding and apologetic, then to frightful and uncertain.

This struck a chord with the SAINT operative who couldn't help but wonder just what kind of horrors the Taii had been through, and what could possibly still be haunting her to this day. Hesitantly, Emi floated closer to Nakadai-Taii with her arms outward in a show of no ill-intent then drew the superior officer to her in a warm embrace. A soft whisper would be offered, "Everything will be ok Taii. I promise..." in hopes of reassuring Hitomi.

Pulling back from the mahogany-haired officer, Emi smiled and regarded the necessity of the form. "I'll make sure you have what's required before morning Nakadai-Taii." Hoping to smooth things over even more, Emi offered her a wink with a smile, then bowed to the others in the room before going to take both her and Aki's things to her officer's quarters.

Shuichi didn't react very much at first, tilting her head in confusion and concern while the SAINT acted a bit more proactively. "Huh... I uh... all right I'll do that, but first, are you okay? You look a bit... shaken." Shuichi lost her grin in favor of a more serious frown for the moment.

The hei made sure she had a good hold on her few possessions and looked to the suddenly very nervous Taii once again. She had never seen such drastic mood changes all at once from any one, ever. As Shuichi considered the Taii, she realised Hitomi probably had quite the service record since she got all the way p to Taii... and she had heard many a horror story about the NMX's treatment of prisoners.

"Well. That was all interesting" Momoe commented as she floated back to her command chair, a small scale char attached to the right armrest of the full size command chair, and tapped a button, summoning the MEGAMI to bring refreshments.

Within a few minutes the ships AI came to the bridge, her volumetric representarion that of a full size neko to facilitate pushing a cart full of refreshments to the bridge. Coffee, tea, soda, hot coco and a pile of cookies for anyone who wanted them.

"Thank you, dear" Momoe said with a smile before the AI flickered out of existance with a smile.

Momoe wiggled her fingers with excitement as she got herself a tiny scale cup of soda and a few cookies to nibble on. "So" she said to her new Exec, "Whats shakin bacon?" The XO did seem more than a bit shakin at the moment.
