Miro was lucky to have even reached the assembly. He didn't have time to reach his newly assigned quarters yet, and was still carrying his hefty duffel. He had listened rather half-heartily as the officer spoke, paying more attention to the ones around him. He couldn't help but notice the diversity of the crowd...and noted it silently. Before he knew it, the officer had given his sign off, and a few people began standing up.

"Great...I can finally get to my ro-GUH!"

As Miro was getting up, another recruit quickly pushed past him, sat down in the empty seat next to him, and began saying something to another recruit in front of him. Miro, stunned by the sudden shove, lost his balance. As he tried to regain his footing, he overestimated how much force he would need...and accidentally flung his duffel (OOC: Filled with, among other things, a large toolbox...) straight into the face of the young man who pushed Miro as he tried to get by.

"Come on Apesael, let's get out of here. I have some work to do, and you can help me." Tanjo said to Apesael, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Yes sir." Apesael responded and followed him out of the conferance room, the powerfull Tanjo often wading through people with the occasional "Excuse me.", "Coming through" and "Sorry, you might want to see a medic about that." Apesael simply followed in the wake of this, rubbing his temples as he was still being assulted by the thoughts of everyone in the room. He was getting to know stuff he didn't want to, and he had no idea how his mind was able to manage all the thoughts coming through him. It was excrutiating, a headache of uninimaginable proportions, but somehow his mind was navigating all the thoughts, cutting some off, and storing some of the information in back of his mind.

They where soon out, and with the lack of many people in the immdediate vicinity the pain subsided, there was only the background buzz of all the people on the ship, and Tanjo who was, for some reason, thinking about work. Apesael managed to shut off his link with Tanjo quite easily and simply walked back to Tanjo's house, the two in silence, Apesael managing all the voices in his head, and Tanjo too busy thinking.

Kenda sat through the remainder of the speech, and watched the others for a while after the captain was finished. It was interesting to his calculating mind to see how the beings naturally divided themselves up, with a few small groups to show those who had already met and spoken to other personnel, but mostly singles drifting off by themself, nothing unexpected from a ship only starting its mission. His diplomatic mind noted a few personas who seemed to have a small following, apparently not friends, people with business with the object of their attention, probably more hustle of a ship and colony ship at that, only starting out.

Kenda gave a slight sigh, knowing he would be in the midst of it soon, most likely one of the followers, trying to negotiate some deal with someone for something, it would be vague till he knew specifics. With only a simple glance to the mess nearby, he rose, walking the opposite direction of the flying objects, and slid his hands into his pockets, making his way back to his room at a leisurely pace.

Henako jumped, someone had just sat down behind him and said his name. "Who know's my name." Henako thought. Slowly he turned roundand faced another ma. "Hi, I'm good. You?" Henako asked. He though it would be rude to ask his name as he had been so polite and know who he was.

"That's ten minutes. AI, hit it." The Captain said, reclining back in his office. He always liked to wind down after that sort of event, and he felt tired. What a wonderfully familiar feeling, all of his age seemed to come back. He welcomed it like an old freind.

Outside the ship began to speed away from Yamatai using its gravitic drive, before engaging its CDD, disapearing in a flash of light. The escort fleet soon followed. For the people inside the Destiny, the change was not noticed, the intertial dampeners compensating perfectly.

They where off.

(OOC: This is a little late but)

IC: Roken never saw it coming with a thud the dufful bag struck him in the back of the head nearly knocking him out, the blow damaged the internal working parts causing his artificial eyes to flicer on and off till they were off for good.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay on the post )

"Jeez!" Miro exclaimed as he regained control of his bag. A bit too late, however, as the damage had already been done. The force of the blow had lurched him forward onto the back of the seat in front of him, and Miro was unsure if his victim was still even concious. A few other nearby recruits began gathering, wondering what had happened.

Miro reached out an open palm, placing it on Roken's shoulder.

"Hey, you alright?"

Looking over at what had happened, she could help but wonder if the man was truly fine or not. Slowly standing up straight, she walked over to the small group calmly.

"Is anything wrong here," she asked in curiousity as the short neko stood just behind Miro. The raven-haired female was pretty short even for neko, only reaching a height of 4'11". But the rank of Joto Heisho could be seen on her blue, skirt uniform.

Roken couldn't see who was talking to him; his cyber-eye's where fading in and out. Roken looked in the direction of the voice, "Uh, I think I'm OK but I need to get my eyes fixed," Roken wasnt sure if he was talking to the right person or talking to nothing. "What hit me anyway?"

Miro quickly exchanged glances between the neko and his victim before turning to answer the first question he heard. Other people that had gathered were begining to help Roken up, and Miro was slightly relieved to hear a responce from him...and a not-so-hostile responce at that.
"He...I...there was an accident. He may need a doctor, he said something was wrong with his eyes."

Arild jolted up in his seat and slapped his head. How could he have been so stupid?

"AI, open up communications with the Yui's." Arild commanded, still berating himself

"Done sir." The AI said calmly as always

"Yui's, I would like you to scout ahead of the ship. When you come across something of significance, report back. Be it planet, or intresting star system, report back. Don't go too far, we don't know how strong the Mishhuvurthyar presence is down here. Any concerns, let me know. Taisa out."

He slumped inside his chair. This job was going to age him prematurely, so much stress. He went back to the job of reasigning positions. There where so many people!

The Yui's engaged their CDD's, and went ahead.

"Ok then," Masako replied as she stooped down. "Let's help him to the nearest doctor then," the young neko stated as she wrapped and arm around Roken's back.

"By the way, the name is Kurohoshi Masako. I'm a Mindy Pilot here. Uh...excuse me sir," she asked Miro. "Can you clear the way? I can help him myself," the raven-haired neko asked politely.

"Right..." Miro said as he stepped back a bit to allow Masako through. "I'm Watsunabe Miro, part of the Armory division...I think..."

Miro watched as she helped Roken to his feet and, without thinking about it, wound around to Roken's other side and grabbed his arm in the same fashion as Masako. He had to bend down a bit to compensate for the young neko's size, which looked and felt rather awkward...but Miro stuck with it, intent on helping some way.

"You should probably lead the way..." Miro spoke with a slight smile. "I don't even know where a hospital is around here."

"Uh...thanks, my name is Roken. I was beginning to think I was the only Power armor pilot on this ship." Roken smiled a little, he was a little annoyed that he couldn't see the person that helped him, his head was throbing and it seemed to be getting worse. "M...My eyes," Roken asked "How badly damaged are they?" Roken hoped that it wasn't too bad.

I corrected it again, but really, can we make it so this doesn't happen again. Please improve your grammer. I's not i's. Simple.

Zakalwe

Masako eyed Miro in surprise. "We'll ask the AI once we're out of the room," the neko replied before leading the way. She then began to push her way through the crowd while appologizing when ever she startled or pushed someone too hard. The raven-haired neko turning her head to glance at Roken's eyes.

"I can't really tell for sure," she stated with a hint of embarassment. "I'm a pilot, not a medic," she said calmly. "I'll leave any definite replies to the doctors."

"AI...heh, right."

Miro smiled, rubbed the back of his head with his free hand in slight embarrasment. Through all the drama, he'd completely forgotten about the AI. All reasonable thoughts were being pushed to back-seat by the sudden nagging pain in his back. He must have looked ridiculous, because it sure felt ridiculous...
