Dissenters were strung up on snapped necks with care,

Street urchins nestled on rags; lacking beds,
as visions of gin tumblers danced in their heads.
And Alex in his mecha, and Akemi his bar,
rested securely in knowledge that they would go far.

When out at the spaceport, there arose such a clatter,
the soldiers at the port flew forth to see what's the matter.
Away to deliveries they dashed with a flash,
tore open packed crates; gave bubblewrap a slash.

To Arccos - Prefaced with a blank white card that simply says 'friend', the package contains a black carbon fibre-composite material overcoat, apparently self-constructed, but diligently detailed with dozens of brass buckles. Deceptively simple, it also contains four disk-like miniature inertialess drives on the front and back, enabling unaided flight by plugging into any standard spacer RTG system.

To Uso - Form fitting royal purple voidwalker suit with a dimpled exterior. Reinforced with boron mesh panels, it's suitable for use even in the deepest bowels of the White Lament.

To Lundy and Mizzie - A pair of incredibly light child-sized bicycles apparently crafted from super-condensed paper, including optional training wheels. Large hampers with various types of sugar-substitute products, including honey-flavor spread, cotton candy and candy canes.

To the I'ee converted warehouse - Five sealed automatic plant incubator units. Produces ten fresh mango or passionfruit branches per week, free of industrial contaminants.

To Corgan - A strange oversized axe, transparent durandium. Big enough to be suitable for power armor use, but pushing the power button makes it incredibly light somehow.

To Akemi - A red-paneled backpack console unit covered in lead dust. It's a SPINE-compatible mindware dubbing unit, enabling limited access to the polysentience. The UI was full of pictures of cartoon crabs, apparently hacked into some kind of 'pepper garden' company thing from spacers working for Origin.

To Alex - A portable 3D printer apparatus with a virtual modelling program. There are already dozens of mecha anime designs stored within it.

Judging from the description the squad had received earlier, this thing must have been a Quahhg. An enormous, long muscular body supported by eight limbs, about the size of a large SUV. The limbs left the main body at a horizontal angle before sharply turning towards the ground, ending in three-toed claws tipped in menacing-looking talons. At one end of the body twined a long, thick tail which tapered smaller towards the tip before ending a a large, thick ball-like clump. The other end of the body was the head of the Quahhg; no discernible neck was visible, the body simply merging into the larger face of the beast, revealing four large sunken pitch-black eyes, two on each side of its face. The head came to a pointed beak similar to a lizards, save for the maw of gnashing teeth and a trio of curved horns pointing skyward from the pointed snout. The entire thing was covered in a coat of short white hair which allowed it to blend in seamlessly with its surroundings.
