Lulu propped up her chin on a crooked arm elbowed over the bar and leaned in just a little too closely to Jei with a soft smile. While the people on the ground were dashing around with explosions and fire and pounding drums and rioting string soundtracks, she was little more than a playful clarinet in the lounge. Maybe in their soundtrack there was a swishing brush stick on a snare drum or a thumming stand-up bass. There were only two reasons for man to clam up like that in front of Lulu. The first was that her seeming 'availability' was something of an obstacle. Perhaps he had a girlfriend already, or he just absolutely hated her. The second reason, the sad reason, was that he could be intimidated by her-- which would make him just her kind of man.

Banking for now on the latter, Lulu took a pair of delicate fingertips to Jei's lapel with a dark look in her eyes. "Well, they've got to work awful hard to put up as much of a show as we did." She suggested, dusting off some invisible hair or spec, her voice dripping with hidden intent, "But we're not busy now? Are we? We can relax and enjoy this lovely display of Imperial brutality at its finest. Why doncha scoot on over and get a little closer? Keep me warm during the scary movie."

The twins, Herdis and Aldis, had returned to their rooms after being dismissed from the bridge and were now wearing one of their limited civilian attire that they were given before being assigned to the ship. They both wore similar outfits, though Herdis was in pale green and Aldis was in dark green. Their dresses were form fitting, but still modest enough. Their hair was out of the buns they had on for duty and braided in a fashion to put it half up/half down. The shoes they wore for the dresses were more like sandals.

Making their way in, they can see the incoming feed of what was happening down below. After getting themselves some form of refreshment, the two go to an empty couch and sit, eating and drinking as they enjoy the show.

Jei raised his eyebrow at first, and looked to the captain very briefly. He then smirked and tried to make himself not look as much as an idiot Hei or expose his inner 'comfort.' "Ma'am, this isn't hardly the time to be looking for...partners." He then looked at the captain with a what-do-I-do face for enough of a time that she would see it, but he didn't dare move her hand from his lapel for he didn't want her XO to 'react' to the situation. He felt cornered, but too new at this to do anything major in the way of movements.

Well this isn't awkward at all, Jei...Not at all.

Pavel and his new shock troopers, assaulting the Armory with the newly constructed tactic. It had many benefits, like the artificial stealth and the speed the teleporters add to their movements. The Down sides were the blooming the Aether shoots caused, weakling their effect and lowering the amount of dust in the air. Greater then that though was the blast waves the teleports caused in the atmosphere around them.

As the pair ripped back into reality, they caused a major over pressure around them, this in turn threw the machine guns, operators, and their guards back against the far wall of the armory. Beyond the people there the armory's doors and frames were torn asunder throwing them far away from their mounts. Pavel and his team had breached and for the most part
wrecked the top side of the armory.

The main hatch, between the hanger style upper parts and the lower underground storage bays, was flung open and the reaming defenders stormed out in their Daisys firing their personal fire arms at the intruders.

Meanwhile, Misato and Freyja had pushed into the lower parts of the command tower and started moving up to the upper stories. Freyja gave fire support as Misato pushed into melee with each floors worth of guards and defenders.

Walking out of Medical's main door Blake shook his head at the three scientist. "Dang I haven't see that kind of treatment of wounded since..." He paused to the think. "I think it was during the last big war." placing a Hand onto Chieko's shoulder. "Looks like you and your assistants will need some retraining for medical emergencies." he grinned, "Well get off and change for the party up in the lounge. We can arrange the retraining later"

Seako had been leaning against the bar sipping a drink as she watched views from all of the ground teams feeds. Most of the views being feed directly into her brain. Letting an eye drift over to Jei she smiled and winked before going back to watch the ground teams. She figured the young man could handle himself.

Screw It... Jei looked to his new "friend" and smiled and whispered in her ear, "No offense, but I'm taken and I don't think she'll like it if it was any different." He then smiled again and turned back to the bar. Yeah, so what, it might be a little bit of a lie as far as he knew. But he hoped it was going to work as well as it possibly could for now. It did remind him to make a private channel to actually ask, but that would come later. He needed to get his mind off the moment and he needed something good, really good.

"Whiskey, hard on the rocks."

Medical

"Aye, sir," Chieko sighed before looking at Kana and Isrun again. "You heard the Medical Officer, get cleaned up and head to the lounge," she repeated, "We'll have a little talk afterward." The scientist then gave Blake a bow while excusing herself before making her way back to her cabin.

The young biologist decided to wear a red one piece that cut off above her knees and one of her lab coats which dangled down to her calves. She finished it off with her copper heels and typical maroon hairband and walked in looking confident like a proper laboratory lead.

Chieko's smile lasted half way to the bar. Not when she noticed the Captain - no - when she noticed another whom, she assumed by the entourage, was more brass. Now how was she going to pull the boys in with her knowledgeable nee-san routine?

Kana and Isrun were not far behind. The pink haired chemist showed up in jeans and a yellow t-shirt, while the physicist put on a fresh uniform.

"You really need to lighten up," Kana commented to her fellow lab Neko.

"And you need to take things more seriously," Isrun replied, rolling her eyes.

Stiffed, Lulu employed the same cruel tactics she'd used on the Soyokaze in the previous battle not even an hour before hand. She put on her most pouty lips and her darkest, most hurt face. It was excruciating. Truth be told, the moment Jei showed the gumption to turn her down Lulu had been immediately turned off of him; her taste for submission to overpowering to compete with the handsome young Tactical Officer's fine sense of style and well-maintained body. But she'd decided that it was, because of this, now his sworn duty to make her at least feel a little good about herself. Around the same time, the gaze of the stiff XO that'd entered with her turned as predicted to focus on the two of them. He seemed poised to 'react' to the situation, narrowing his eyes on Lulu's look of abject despair.

"I don't know why you couldn't just come out and say it." Lulu pouted, turning away from him and tilting her own whiskey over ruby-red lips. With a forceful sigh to drive the fire of the alcohol from her throat, she specified, "So you just think I'm fat and old and ugly, and you Yamataians are so polite that you have to pretend to have a girlfriend to spare my feelings."

At this point, a low growl escaped from Honda's lips and he walked purposefully away from the video feed towards the two of them with fire in his eyes. Just as Lulu reached out with thin fingers to try and turn Jei at the shoulder so he could see just how miserable she looked, there was a certain slick metallic noise that'd been played on Saturday morning cartoons since Jei was a child. Honda had wrapped his hand around the hilt of one sword and shoved the guard with his thumb to extend the blade a few inches from it's sheath, just exposing a few inches of gleaming nerimium and monomolecular edge to stand between the two at the bar. The sound was sudden and grating, causing Lulu to wince.

"Is this woman bothering you, boy?" Honda asked with all the sternness of a school teacher and some of the veiled threat of back-alley mugger. Cold eyes fixed themselves first on Jei, then more harshly on Lulu. "Lulu-dono, it is my duty as your humble advisor to remind you that the Empire takes a dim view of sexual harassment, particularly from a superior to an inferior."

Not satisfied to only ruin one person's fun, Honda snapped his steely gaze back to Jei and added briskly, "And you should stand up for yourself, boy. We live in a society ruled by women. If we are to be treated as equals, we must act as equals." A false air of musing crossed the stony features of the XO. "Unless you took off your principles when you changed out of your uniform, that is."

Nearby, oblivious to the show being put on by Lulu and Honda, Mite was blissfully and silently sipping away at a bamboo cup of tea she'd quietly asked for. She was perfectly happy to let whatever was happening happen on its own, because it kept either of the other officers from remembering that their awesome plan to crush the Soyokaze had failed primarily because of her. Not getting yelled at was third on the list of Mite's favorite things. So, when the rest of the ship's compliment of important people began to flood into the room, she distanced herself even further from Lulu and Honda so she could make her way to the twins and the arriving medical staff with a sense of carefree contentment. For now. With the anxiety simmering low in the furthest reaches of her brain, she managed to bow respectfully and only spill a little bit of her tea.

"Ohayo." She greeted softly, somehow taking on the air of both a shy child and a wizened sage, "I'm Chui Yamatago Mite, Captain of the Casper. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Aldis and Herdis glanced over at the one that approached them. They smiled. Aldis more openly than Herdis, of course. "Greetings!" They both said.

"I am Eyverska Aldis," the larger of the two said.

"I am Eyverska Herdis," the tiny Neko squeaked out.

"We are pleased-" started Aldis.

"-to meet you," finished Herdis.

They both looked around at the others and asked in their disjointed way, "Would you-" "-like to join us?" This time it was Herdis and then Aldis speaking in that order.

Jei turned his head slightly to the right and took a breath to say something. He was beginning to see why she might have come to him but kept it to himself. "It's ill advised to try and who..." He heard the grind of sword against hilt and gripped the bar with his right hand, and snapped his head all the way to the left to the XO as he "drew" his sword. He stood himself up and hid his fear to his right hand, which finally released when the XO began his spiel. He let him finish.

"I appreciate your aid, and I understand." He felt slightly insulted but set a nice smile. He took his drink and walked towards a small terminal attached to the wall. Why not put a bit of a musical twist into the mix. He tapped a few times and brought up a quiet swing tune that wouldn't be to rambunctious or upbeat to ruin the parties macabre atmosphere. He sipped most of his drink before the music even started and by the time he moved to a spot set up to act as a microphone, he took a long final swig as he cleared his throat ans began to sing.

"Well, I wouldn't want to impose--" Mite started, smiling nervously at the twins and casting quick glances at her surroundings. Mite finished in a completely different tone when she caught sight of Lulu and Honda sitting by themselves once more. Her ears flattened and the officer quickly shifted and took a firm hold on Aldis, taking the larger of the two Neko by the arm and cheering, "But what's the point of coming to these things if nobody mingles? I suppose I should join you after all, let's go and sit as far from the bar as possible, so we can get to know each other privately," And then, Mite quickly began leading the twins away with a sort of docile fear that lent itself well to her previously shy demeanor despite her sudden unexplained desire to be sociable, "You two remind me of a pair my sister told me about, I think she said she met them on the homeworld..."

-----

"So, whadaye think?" Asked Lulu, watching Jei retreat with a more reserved look of sorrow than the absolute ruin she'd put on before.

"Definitely fat, but not yet old or ugly." Remarked Honda, sitting to take Jei's spot.

"Not that, Hon-kun." Lulu snapped back, crossing her arms with a cold glare, "About the guy."

Honda turned slowly on his stool and eyed the young tactical officer setting up the microphone. He seemed to watch Jei sing the same way one would an exotic animal or a potential house for sale. Appraising him quickly, Honda decided, "Young, determined. Being the only male on the bridge crew, if our records are accurate he is the tactical officer. If that be the case, then I would say his skill outgrows him. It is a strength that belongs to a greater man, and he will either become arrogant or impotent in time."

"Well..." Said Lulu with another sigh. "That's not what I meant, but I guess it's as good as I can hope for."

Aldis gasped as she was taken by the arm and pulled out of her comfy seat. Herdis quickly got onto her sister's shoulder, both curious as to why they were being dragged along. Though they didn't mind being social, they were rather enjoying the show of the ground forces. A little confused, the girls looked to each other before back to Mite.

"What do you mean?" Asked Herdis.
"Were they like us?" Asked Aldis.

The biologist was surprised at what guts (or was it desperation) Lulu had to go that far. It almost made Chieko wonder how old the ship captain actually was - until the swords started coming out.

You have to be kidding me, she thought to herself. Talk about Tenshon-Shoi.

"Did that really just happen?" Kana whispered to her team leader,

"I think I might be on the fence with that one," Chieko replied, rather beside herself.

"Definitely too far," Isrun added,

The pink haired neko then paused before continuing, "Unless she's really that bad..." The three scientists looked between each other, then over at Lulu before returning to each other again.

Chieko began wondering if she really ought to try anything after such a display; but argued internally that it could get boring quick. The problem was, though: targeting the now runaway would draw the red-head's ire, while the sword carrying XO seemed to have an excessive lack of humour. It might almost be better to flirt with the Kodian when he manages to arrive...

Elaine smiled as she watched the interplay between the various crews that came aboard the Soyokaze. She relaxed with her drink, till Jei began to sing. She stood up and swiftly joined him at the microphone and sang with him, harmonizing sweetly with his masculine tones. Letting him take the lead in the song. Fortunately for her, she had heard the song before and knew it.

She may not be as sexy dressed as the newcomers were, but still pleasing to look at. She let her rainbowed colored hair loose as she got into the swing of performing with Jei. It was obvious that she was a civilian due to her softer physique than a Neko designed for being a soldier in the Yamataian Star Army.

The song ended nicely and the harmony put a nice resonation to the lounge. He looked to his secondary and whispered just out of the mic's pickup, "Another?" before motioning to the console with his head. It gave him another reason to hold on to his hobby of singing, something he hadn't done in a while. Then he had a little bit of an idea. He walked over to the console again and selected a newer piece that wasn't as well known and was a little bit slower.

It kicked in as Jei got back up the microphone. The song was a love song, about a sailor who had just married going off to war. It made slight references to the last war but was very subtle in it's detail. He crooned his voice and let his voice carry.

Eliana smiled back at Jei, nodding affirmative to his question. She took notice of the song he had chosen and scampered back just as he did the opening part. She hummed softly to add a feminine touch to his crooning. then took over for the females part of the lady in a soft soulful wistful manner of a lover about to be separated. Making eye contact with Jei as if he was the Sailor heading off to war.

The feed from the planet below continued showed Misato and her new recruit assaulting the main command room, taking it without any style. It was now in control of the Soyokaze crew, winning the ground battle for the single ship and her crew. The armory fell quickly under the assault of Pavel and his team. With a siren ringing out from the command tower the displays in their helmets changed showing they were just running a training exercise with the ground forces of the base.

Misato sent a message to the Soyokaze’s bridge which was relayed to the Captain asking for permission to collect the ground force and bring them all home to the ship. With a grin Seako sent approval along with an invite to the lounge to join in the post exercise party.

As the music started being filled out by the crew members Seako took her drink and moved to the stage and sent a message to Elaine, ”When your song is over I would love to make an announcement and address the assembled.”

Lounge:

Elaine nodded to Seako. As she sang ending stanza of the song, she waved a hand to invite Seako to join Jei and her at the mic, "A Word from the Captain of the Soyokaze" Then she stepped back to join Jei to allow Seako have access to the mic.

Jei saw the captain move towards the stage and then the microphone so he took a few small steps back and motioned to the stand. The song ended okay and he hadn;'t sung one like it in a while. He felt giddy and confident for the rest of the night, even though it probably was not going to go any higher than that.

"It's not a party without drinks," Chieko smirked, regaining herself some. She made her way over to the bar, though tried to stay as far from any command ranks as much as possible. It would be more trouble than she needed at that point in time, by her assessment.
