RP: 5th XF About the Coming Battle: Mandatory Read for all GMs/Jr GMs

Slight update to all commanders; when you post your own fold dodges, cooridinate with those who've dodged before you. Set up a fire grid and coodinate your strikes. Also, don't forget about WARMS people - if any more Mishhu try to jump in through the interdiction field, show them that sneaking up on us is a bad idea.

And with this, the 17th heads out. They're going to to protect the Bay 16 doors as long as they can to keep it from being breached until the Asamoya and Asuka are ready themselves.

Yaichiro was overseeing the construction of a Bizranko Assault force, which is partially complete. These ships will be commanded by Yaichiro as an emergency measure (these are only the completed ones)

To all commanders, we have a designation scheme for our unit wings: wings are identified by unit type, then unit class, then wing number. For example, the first wing of Lamia would be AL-1. Or A(armour) L(amia) - 1. Similarly, the third wing of Hyuuga fighters would be FH-3.

Unit Types:
- A(armour)
- F(fighter)
- S(huttle)

And so on. Hopefully ya'll can figure the unit classes out for yourselves. The only other thing I have to add is try not to use the same designation for different wings. Make sure no one else has taken the designation you want, etc.

I suggest adding "Hotaru's" or "Himitsu's" in front of these designations, for obvious reasons.

Erm, ok... So far for the TF-52 force's.

359 wings of Lamias, AL-1-359 are currently engaging the battle pods, and are holding them at bay, or rather staving them off for CB's, or Tosh's attacks on the Battleship, and carriers.

Also, the Arashi, E-1-45 (Yes, they are escorts after all.) are firing at the enemy. About 135,000 MSAP missiles have been launched ahead of the Lamia force at the battlepods as E-1-45 begin launching salvos of positron fire at the enemy destroyers, with the weapon pods covering for both anti-mecha, and torpedo defense.

And...the Asamoya is awating getting out of the hangar still lol.

Hanabusa ejected and removed themselves from 5th XF forces.

SMX attacked Hotaru, ISFCs, and the TF-50. They tried to force open Bay 16's doors to force decompression.

Hotaru TDD itself and its forces to dodge the brunt of the attack, especially Legacy cannon fire. It arranged itself in a line 6 AU away, and sent the Hanabusa ships into a cluster in front of the 5th's weapons.

Asuka used its Graviton Beam Projectors to hold the door shut, Asamoya reacting in kind. Evacuation of Bay 16 begins in preparation for decompression.

Shikotama ISFC and YSS Yanagi (NJ-X5-02) were the only ships to escape destruction on the Hanabusa side. For now, they've left the battle.

SMX attacked again.

Himitsu TDDed the entire force into a two-line pincer to dodge, with its own side consisting of Himitsu and TF-51. Standard interdiction fields went up for all ships. 200 wings of Power Armors (Himitsu's AL2-1 through 200) were deployed, arching above and below the line of fire between allied forces and the enemy, in a double pincer. Hotaru reacted in kind (Hotaru's AL2-1 through 200, a total of 400,000 LAMIA 2 being deployed, firing their Aether Rifles at any enemy Pods possible. TF-51, Himitsu, and Hotaru open fire on the enemy ships with Pulsed Phase Cannons and Aether Shock Arrays. (Not shown in the post, but their intended targets are the Destroyers)

Yaichiro decided to assume command of the parts of the Bizranko attack force which had thus far been constructed. Ships deploy from both Star Fortresses. Yaichiro offers to cede command if told to do so. He then orders a strike on the enemy Battleship, Soth Arcxis, and any ships unfortunate enough to get caught in the blast. Four Irims fold into the area of the SMX ships, arranged in a 3-D formation to avoid shooting each other, and fire their Anti-Fleet Weapons. They quickly release their compliment of Weapons Pods (2880 in all) to cause chaos and wreak havoc, before using their TDD drives to fold back to the lines.

A dozen Chibi MEGAMI probes launch and go to the edges of the system, to coordinate attacks and act as a warning system should the SMX receive backup.

The 17th Power Armor Wing cover the Bay 16's doors for a time before they finally open, the evacuation complete. The Asamoya Leaves, preparing to join the battle and firing its main gun. Asuka and 17th wait for a short amount of time, for a Sakura to arrive and take control of the SEMs, especially the Mini Striker and Anti-Fleet Interdiction SEM.

10 Pather wings and 1000 Power Armor Wings piloted mostly by NH-12 (LAMIA and a few Mindy) launch from Hotaru's SP-01. Using a show of FTL jumping, Cannon Fire, and Aether Gattling, they assaulted the Mishhu Group and its pods, taking priority of, in order of importance; heavy particle weapons, torpedo tubes, transposition weapons, medium weapons, launch bays, reactors, free-fire.

As an idea, would it be worth it to code communications/orders to other parts of the fleet in that group's colour? Say, for instance, I wanted to orderthe Adlich Task Force to fold and strike at the heart of the enemy's reserve group. Might make it eaiser to see when you're being called to.

As for a quick recap of my little post, I emptied the armor bays on all the ships save for two Arashi escorts. I've had both my carriers keep the bays open for a docking area for any armors needing to restock/quick repair/anything else, so everyone feel free to use them.

Also I've had the Arashi escorts form a defensive line in order to give any troops a safe line to fall back too, while at the same time used the Arashi torpedos to go ahead and start opening up the Mishhu ships for any boarding.

Running a thread parallel for the rest of my players to the one in here in my subforum. So they have their own, and it cuts down on the chaos in here. Also dumb question, but phasing scouts can be detected right? ^^: I had MEGAMI do a scan of the area to get a count on the enemy and I was wondering if I should add the scouts to my next post when I have MEGAMI announce the results.

They are only detectable when they are not phased.

I find it highly unlikely that the Chibi MEGAMI would have been destroyed by the Irims' attacks. IES would be able to detect and avoid hitting friendlies, or at least inform the Irims to change their angles.

Also, the Irim guns have a range of maybe 5 AU. Can four beams of energy with that range destroy any chibi-MEGAMI pods at the edges of the system, much less a dozen spaced multiple AU apart? Remember that the attacks were on different planes, too.

Well due to your unspecific posts I had issues determining their locations. I can ammend that part however. Give me a min.

Btw make sure you ID the ships your using...Its frustrating otherwise.

It is a bit difficult to ID the Irims I am using, as they are from the Bizranko Queue. As such, you haven't defined names or registry numbers for them. I'll try to make them up as I go.

Asuka's PA pilots have been temporarily assigned to follow Caine's orders as extensions of the 17th. Yaichiro's orders still supersede Caine's.


Hotaru and Himitsu are making stuff to restock weapons and fix busted up ships. Yaichiro is attempting to contact TF-56 to distribute these items and effect repairs at mobile restock points.
