Now hang on Jack...there's a lot of issues with this character.

  • The name isn't Elysian. Elysians commonly have Greek or Roman names. Anything below Patrician also uses Hebrew names or Western European names. Few exceptions exist, but...generally try to stay in that area.
  • Elysia doesn't genetically enhance their soldiers. All "genetic enhancments" would have had to be done through private means, which means you need high level health care, which means you would need money...yeah.
  • Elysians do not have beards like that. They sadly do not get facial hair of that level.
  • Elysians would not normally have exposure to "the wild west." They also do not smoke.
    • Expanding on that, Elysians normally are not very interested in gun ownership. They focus more on...other arts. Like Pankration. Or traditional art. Or beatboxing. That last one is up for debate.
  • You qualify for four extra skills.
  • Elysia would not have hired children to serve in the 4th Elysian War. Being born in YE 16, he would have been too young to serve. Especially in such a position.
  • Expanding on that: By the proper math your character would have been...
    • 7 years old
    • Married
      • Child marriage is an illegal. Bad.
    • Wife has a child
      • I...uh...yeah. Let's not talk about that.
    • Somehow a Caelisolan at YE 16 even though the first Caelisolan was rolled out in YE 30.
      • If he was dead on the records he would have never recieved the Caelisolan body.

I'm lookin at this and... Honestly, this guy would fit in with Nepleslia more easily than he would fit into Elysia. I'm going to tag @Legix since he's the FM of Nepleslia in case he strongly disagrees or something (Safely ignore this tag if you don't really care too much or w/e Snekkix)
Except not even Nepleslia uses child soldiers. RIP. Though I agree.

Nepleslia does not employ child soldiers. Dunno about the rest but seriously confused why people keep aiming child soldiers at Nepleslia.

Street kids =/= allowing child soldiers.

Nepleslia, last I checked, won't take someone if they're not 16 or older.

I edited links, spelling, grammar, and formatting.

"Old earther wild west" needs to go as earth is not a place in this setting that is known, visited, etc.

A lot of this you have to have @FrostJaeger look over as I don't know if Elysians can get genetic enhancements and so on.

VERY thorough!! Great work!

@Ametheliana they wouldn’t have given out genetic enhancements for a common soldier. They didn’t even give Corvina any enhancements, and she’s basically the badass James Bond secret agent woman. The most they’d do is to permanently refresh their body so they’re always in the prime, and if that was the case the “he’s dead, give up on him” part of things is nullified because soul transfer abuse is fun.

What Meta means to say is that Elysia doesn't genetically enhance an existing person. They'd rather make a newer, stronger, better body from scratch for him instead of improving an old one, which was effectively the Caelisolan Project's goal.

The only reasonable explanation for him being MIA, thought KIA, is that the Soul Transfer system he would have been assigned to would have been destroyed or captured or... Compromised in some other way. It would be quite unlikely that he would opt out of having an ST backup as a soldier, especially if he had a wife and a child at home.

Staff Note: Star Army does not have name requirements per species and it's OK for Elysians to have unusual names that don't sound culturally Elysian.

It’s more of a suggestion. You can have a strange name but something that isn’t very Elysian just sticks out like a sore thumb.

I'll also note that Pythus is one of the major divisions of the Separa'Shan. That said, there is a character who is not Elysian who is called "Archangel". Something to take into consideration for sure, but don't let that stop you from having a cool name. Cool Names are awesome!

As requested by @Ametheliana, here’s what I asked @Res’sh (via a DM sent on 4/26/2018) to change:
  1. Elysia doesn't genetically enhance their soldiers. All "genetic enhancments" would have had to be done through private means, which means you need high level health care, which means you would need money.
  2. Elysians do not have beards like that. They sadly do not get facial hair of that level.
  3. Elysians would not normally have exposure to "the wild west." They also do not smoke.
  4. Expanding on that, Elysians normally are not very interested in gun ownership. They focus more on other arts, like Pankration or traditional art.
  5. He also needs to be listed as a Plebeian - meaning he wouldn’t be able to lift anywhere close to 300 lbs., as Plebeians are rather weak - and he qualifies for four extra skills.
  6. Lastly, Elysia didn’t really have snipers assigned to take down HVTs behind enemy lines - as the Fourth Elysian War was fought almost entirely in space, with the only exception I know of being the final battle at Ralfaris.

Is it possible for him to be a genetic outlier in terms of his facial hair and his interest in gun ownership? Not everyone in a culture conforms to norms. I agree that it's highly irregular, and while I don't like the idea of everyone making someone who's a snowflake, I don't think there's any harm in a little diversity.
