Planet Tami - Edge of Origin's Industrial Complex - Early Morning
It had only been a few minutes since the system's star cast its light on that side of the planet. The Industrial complex looked abandoned, but mostly intact despite being invaded by the NMX and then retaken by the Yamataians. Most of the buildings were standing and looking abandoned, and despite the battle damage that they showed their robustness kept them upright. Despite this, a more careful observer would notice that the place was anything but; signs of recent occupation were visible there by the trained eye as the Iron Ferret did a brief pass over the complex, Trash had been neatly piled outside the buildings, and pathways were discernible amongst the rubble.
The place looked much more utilitarian than the one they had been on Delsauria, and it was also significantly bigger. The buildings were squatter and more square, with little or no windows and packed tightly, but large enough to allow the vehicles to transport their cargo to a medium-sized landing pad on the middle of it. The pad itself was a hexagon surface suspended a good thirty feet off the ground (10 meters) by the massive metal struts that supported it, with two large cargo elevators on opposite sides of it. The elevators connected to the landing area by a short bridge, allowing for both vehicles and personnel to access the pad. The surface area easily allowed for a few Iron Ferrets to dock on it, despite one part of it having collapsed below, but the ship just flew onwards and towards one of the edges of the complex.
The small Jinsoku cleared off the complex, flying over the trees as it started slowing down. It eventually stopped over a clearing that was barely large enough to contain it, and at a reasonable distance of the place they were supposed to be visiting. The ship's engines humm quietened down a few octaves, and the hull stopped vibrating as it touched down on the hard dirt of the forest.
"We're here, folks. I'll keep the Iron Ferret nearby in case you need some firepower, but I would rather not attract any attention from the cats by causing too much noise," came Jacob's voice on the comms, and the Iron Ferret's loading ramp slid open to reveal the terrain of the forest outside to the bounty hunters that were waiting on the main halway. If it wasn't for the ship's inertia dampeners, they would've been thrown off their feet by the maneuver. As soon as it opened, the humidity from the forest started creeping inside the ship, coating the surface of the walls and floor with droplets of water.
Despite its engines being idling, the Jinsoku was anything but. The point defense turrets veered left and right as Jacob and Helric looked for any target that would present themselves from their spot on the ship's bridge. "Folks, the complex is half a click to your east. Get in there and try to secure that LZ for us, so I can pick you up if we need to leave in a hurry," The Iron Ferret's pilot said.
Outside, the forest was surprisingly quiet, there were no sounds of wildlife as someone could expect from that kind of terrain and vegetation. The trees were sparsely separated fom each other, which also wouldn't give the bounty hunters any trouble of moving on foot towards their objective.
