Howard Station, Undisclosed Dry Dock
A clean white Wahoo Interceptor with brilliant green stripes was loaded with a fuel pods converted into cargo containers onto the wing hardpoints while the pilot, Arthur “Crash” Teller, danced on the wing to the beat of a Freespacer band blasting through the two graviton pods mounted closest to the hull, the singer urging him to bring peace on the world. Which world, they never specified but it sure sounded good. The wings bounced to the beat as he got jiggy.
Mr. Donovan approached the crazy pilot to offer parting words as a pair of shield boosters were installed to the wingtips, knowing that the man would most likely need a new body after this.
"Mr. Teller, may I have a word!" He shouted over the huge speakers.
"No way, Boss! You gotta move those feet to keep up with this boy!" the pilot yelled, "c'mon- pick it up now!" Donovan knew that despite the humorous nature of the odd person that he was being dead serious. The heavy feet of the android began to shuffle as the rest of his body bobbed, "I wanted to thank you for doing this of your own volition!" He called back.
"I'm a PIONEER!" he screamed toward the ceiling, then shouted to Donovan, "it's not for you, Boss. It's for them. Wherever there is a blockade, I will run it! Wherever liberty is threatened, I'll be there! FIGHT THE POWAH!!!" The man disappeared into the cockpit.
"This is a really bad idea!!!" Donovan called out, his voice being drowned out by the roar of the engines as the fighter taxi'd through the forcefield and into space.
Osman City, morning news
"… In other news the daredevil stunt pilot, Arthur “Crash” Teller, will be attempting to run the Section 6 blockade today. This fella has run all the known canyons on 188, can he run the blockade? We'll find out at noon and later; Why is planet Xuno being blockaded by S6 anyway? All of this and more, right here…."
Planet Xuno, edge of the Hill Sphere
The stunt fighter exited hyperspace at a quarter of the speed of light broadcasting a 'white flag'. It wouldn't take more than a minute to hit the atmosphere at this rate and Crash wouldn't miss a second of it.
And neither would the starbryte shuttle carrying the camera equipment that pursued the fighter. "Yo, Crash, Baby! We're rolling, dude! Transmission to the studio is fresh, yo!"
