RP: SNV Gam'trosha [Chapter 4.1] Into a Den of Trouble Part 2!

"All right, let's get some optical cables. If there are air-tunnels we can get to check on the trapped folks. Might at least see what state are the in, maybe even set up a line of communication with them." Shar said to others and hoped that the explosives would work. There was no other way inside. They either blow their way in or dig.

Def'leor smiled at Shar's suggestion. "If we can get an optical cable that would be helpful. We could probably use it to feed a small oxygen line that the miners could breath some to improve their condition."

It took a few minutes for some of the miners to get the gear ready, and a few minutes more to get a transport prepped and ready to take a crew up toward the top of the mountain and the sides. When it was ready, they lifted off and began to run hoses and other tubing down through the narrow holes in the rock facing - attaching generators to the ends so that air could be pumped into the cavern. With things settling down around the camp, more people came to offer their help in clearing the rock-fall.

"Here," one of them said and handed Def'leor an optical cable, it was attached to a spindle that had almost four hundred feet of cable in total and the end of it had an attachment so that it could be hooked up to a computer.

"The rock here is quite tough and mining explosives just don't cut it," one of hte miners said. "We've had to use shaped charges in order to blast a hole in, although, that was when the rock was solid. With it being broken as it is, it's possible that only a few rounds of explosives would be enough to create a decent opening."

Kil'nda gave a nod. "Alright then, I just needed to make sure our explosives weren't going to bring even more of the mountain down on the trapped miners." he said. He got on his Com to contact Def'leor. "Ma'am. Kil'nda reporting. It seems Like our explosives might be just the thing they need. With your permission I'd like to have some of the miners hel set up the exact amount needed ansd we'll try and blast though the ruble." he said
