Character History

I can't believe I'm doing this. But I think it applies.

I said:
Basically, there's one overarching rule on the SARP that tends to hold true here and in real life: don't start special. BECOME special. If you start small and learn to become a presence, you'll have much more fun with us, and us with you. People here tend to value a character based on how interesting or dynamic the character is on the inside, not the outside.

Perhaps something in his history, after being around Nekos and such? Especially the older models, which could turn him into paste on the road in an instant, and were basically better in every way by several magnitudes than Geshrin.

EDIT: Gah! It was deleted.

Hmm...yes. And after so much terror of living in the midst of superior beings he decides to upgrade himself. I dig it, but then I still need some sort of plot device that creates a long-term goal. Something along the lines of proving that he isn't inferior. The more I think about it, the more I like it...

And since there seem to be people on now, I'd like to ask a few questions. When a Geshrin is built, do they progress like Humans, from infant to adult, or are they built in one, adult body they keep forever? Also, is there a link I can read for the general rules on Character Death?

Nepleslians (humans) were originally soul transfered into nearly identical bodies. Geshrins bore children in the same way humans do, but with a 3 months gestation rate. The same would hold for Yamataians.

Understood. Thanks. And for my latest edition...wait where is it? *Searches through mound of papers* *ruffleruffleruffle* Oo! I was looking for that pickle, egg, and banana sandwich last week. *Eats it and returns to searching* Aha!

Born (Built) as a Geshrin, Jack was raised under the household of a lower-middle class family. He was involved in an accident at the age of but 6 months old in which his body was flung from the windshield of a car and head first onto the street. This aside, Jack lived a generally normal life, minus often being teased by the Nekos and Yamataians because of his decision to keep his "obsolete" body.

Time passed on, and for several years Jack was the butt of many jokes and crude teasing by his "peers" (read: bullies) in school. After a while, he became very detached with his life, feeling that he should have died in that car accident, feeling infinatly inferior to the "upgraded" ones. He felt that even if he were to upgrade he would still be of no use to society.

However, he couldn't just stand by and allow himself to wallow in a pool of sorrow. Jack fell victim to the new "fad" of upgrading, finding his new Yamataian body to be so much more powerful than his last. Still, the idea of throwing his very mortal soul into a new body still irks him. Nevertheless, he sees this as a chance to prove that he isn't completely useless, not only to those who teased him, but also to himself.
