RP: Fort Ready [Class 3] The Takemitsu

[Aria]

"Situation is T-minus 4 minutes." A cool voice said as a samurai appeared and ran behind Maya. "Seems not all our security systems are back online yet, so it could be anyone. I'm not allowed to end the system; it needs to be done by hand."

As the elevator rose, Maya could see a Yamataian with short brown hair operating some controls, a gun loosely hanging from his pocket. He seemed not to notice Maya's arrival and continued to push his was into various files that would not normally be accessible with bridge security on.

"Well gee thanks! Your a lot of help!!!" Maya said sarcastically frustrated. Maya finally arrived at the elevator and entered, pushing the button to take her to the bridge. As the elevator was heading to its destination, Maya prepared herself for anything that was about to happened threw those doors.

The elevator finally got to the bridge and when the doors opened, Maya quickly barrel rolled out and got behind the nearest cover she could find. Maya then got up behind her cover and did a quick survey around the room for Tangos, weapon drawn. The only person that Maya could see was a Yamataian with short brown hair operating some controls and had a pistol hanging in his pocket.

He seems to be accessing top secret files but so far he hasn't noticed Maya's presence. Maya quickly and silently snuck up to the saboteur with her weapon drawn and stuck it directly at his head and yelling at him to freeze while at the same time quickly stealing his weapon off of him. "FREEZE! MAKE ONE MORE MOVE AND YOUR DEAD!!!"

Hotaru was sprawled out in her nest, drool hanging at a corner of her mouth, looking cute with one fang half showing, dreaming of tuna. Probably. She was startled awake with the ship alarms sounding. With a startled 'squawk' after hearing the MEGAMI's message, she half rolled, half fell out of her nest, landing on her clothing where she dropped it the night before. Through bleary eyes, she could just make out Maya as she grabbed her equipment and disappeared out the door. Probably going to try and take the bridge Hotaru thought, getting a good idea. She was too fuzzy headed to 'path Maya, so she decided to do the same after grabbing her leggings and a t-shirt. Retrieving her sidearm from her foot locker, she slipped it out of the holster and checked it was ready to fire, Hotaru quickly hot-footed towards the bridge. Silently running along the corridors, not seeing anyone about gave her an uneasy feeling.

Deciding on a stealthy approach, she kept quiet as she approached the entrance door to the upper part of the bridge. Hearing the four minute warning, just before she opened the door, she checked her weapon, took a couple breaths to calm herself before palming the door open and diving onto the bridge taking cover behind a set of consoles.

Not being able to see anything from where she was, Hotaru was just about to move, when she heard Maya shouting at someone to freeze. Cautiously Hotaru got up in a tactical stance and edged towards Maya's voice, keeping behind cover as much as possible before finally seeing Maya with her NSP30 at the temple of a Yamataian who she had just disarmed.

Pointing her weapon at the Yamataian, Hotaru made a scan of the remainder of the bridge, not seeing any more potential threats, she made herself known to Maya, Good morning Maya-chan. Is this our saboteur? He seems to be the only one on the bridge. I have him and the entrances covered from my position. Just in case ne?

 

[Aria]

"Watch where you're pointing that thing, Maya" the man said, turning and pushing the gun away from his head. Now that he turned around, she could recognize him. To make sure, he pointed at his head. "Ka-zu-ma. Kill me another day."

The self-destruct message repeated again, causing him to sigh. He turned around, entered a quick command, which caused the flashing red lights to remain on but not flash as the computer announced that the self-destruct system had been paused.

Just then, the elevator rose up and another brown-haired Yamataian walked onto the scene. "What's the situa...tion..." The recruit slowed his pace and stared ahead of him, seeing an exact copy of himself. Both "Kazumas" looked at each other with confusion and annoyance.

"Who the hell is he?" they both said, almost in unison.

After the second Kazuma appeared from the elevator, Maya just looked at the situation with confusion. "Hotaru! Keep them covered! If they try anything funny, don't hesitate, SHOOT!" Maya then kicked the initial Kazuma in the back of the leg sending him into the ground and pointing one hand with her weapon in it at the first Kazuma while her other hand with Kazuma's confiscated weapon pointed it at the other.

"Both of you, SHUT UP!" Maya addressed the first Kazuma. "I will not warn you again! You make anymore sudden moves like that and I start blowing off your extremities!" Maya then addresses the other. "As for you, Who the hell are you!? Drop your weapons and IDENTIFY YOURSELF!?"

 

[Kai]

After a few moments of the alarms, Satomi got up, shaking her violently blue hair, which magically straightened itself, somehow. She flung on some clothes from her duffel, grabbed her gun, though she had no reason why, and began floating around. She floated down a corridor, guided by a downloaded map of an Irim, and found her way up to the bridge. Once more, the lift gates opened, and a Neko popped in. Suddenly alerted by multiple people with guns, Satomi planted herself and somewhat groggily pointed her NSP at the nearest person; Hotaru. After a milisecond of that, she realized who it was, and pointed it at one of the Kazumas. Then at Maya. Then the other Kazuma. Finallay giving up, she just pointed it at each in turn after one second intervals.

As Maya was trying to interrogate the second Kazuma for information, Maya heard the elevator door open again and when she turn to look, she saw a confused looking Satomi with a gun in her hands and randomly pointing it at her and then the others in random intervals. Maya was now alternating her hand with Kazuma's confiscated gun at at both the second Kazuma and Satomi in random intervals, not sure who's side shes on and trying to keep them both covered while keeping the first Kazuma on the ground with her other one.

"What the hell is this!? A Nepleslian standoff!?" Maya then tried to get Satomi on her side. "Satomi, please you got to listen me, I think what we have here is a saboteur and was trying to access classified information. I think one these Kazumas is the real one while the other is some double masquerading as him." Maya then turned her attention to MEGAMI. "MEGAMI! Inform Taii Koyame and a security team to get up here!"

Kazuma?!?! What the hell??? thought Hotaru. Hearing the elevator open up, Hotaru took a quick glance and saw a SECOND?!?!? Kazuma. Verbally acknowledging Maya's order to keep the two Kazuma's covered, Hotaru changed positions to better cover them.

Hearing the elevator open again, Hotaru chanced a quick glance, only to see Satomi stagger out, gun in hand, before she starts aiming it randomly at people. Just as Hotaru was about to say something to Satomi, Maya beat her to it. Instead, Hotaru just said, "Satomi, I agree with Maya, though I am still a little concerned if this is another 'test'," you could hear the sarcasm in Hotaru's voice as she said 'test'.

Hoping Satomi will keep her head about her, Hotaru began thinking of the different potential outcomes, this 'stand-off' may produce but still keeping her situational awareness of this situation.

 

[Aria]

"Damn Maya," the first Kazuma said. "I know your a crazy and violent, but kicking an unarmed man to the ground!" He quickly flipped his legs back and knocked Maya over, recovering his pistol in the process. Before she could tackle him again, he aimed at the other Kazuma and fired. Once the bullet reached his skull, the imaged faded away, a rubber bullet bouncing off the wall behind.

The lights suddenly faded back into a warm white color as the alarms died down. A samurai walked into the room and clapped. "Well, that was a fun way to start your last day, wouldn't you say? I was hoping to have the recruits try and guess who the real one was, but if we waited, I feared you would have resulted to killing both."

"Anyway, breakfast is being served in the wardroom, get ready and, watch out for pairs of instructors, you never know when they want to duplicate," the samurai said sarcastically.

I knew it was another damn test. Maya thought as she was getting up from Kazuma's knock down. Maya recovered her pistol and puts it back in her holster and then without warning, Maya rushed Kazuma, slamming him into the wall and pinned him to it in an arm lock behind him and began to softly whisper into his ear.

"Even unarmed men can still be dangerous, I can demonstrate if you want and besides, I get the feeling that you knew all about these tests and were in on all of them from the beginning. Your lucky I didn't decide to shoot you in the legs instead, I wasn't using rubber bullets." Maya then let Kazuma go by pushing him back into the wall and then left the bridge to head back to the barracks to get changed into uniform for breakfast.

Hotaru quickly released her finger off the trigger as she saw the fake Kazuma fade away, thanking her superb reflexes. Otherwise they might be scraping brain matter off the bridge bulkheads. Letting out a breath she didn't think she was holding, Hotaru made her sidearm safe, before bowing to the bridge occupants and made her way off the bridge towards the barracks. As she was getting off the elvator, Hotaru 'pathed Satomi Coming back to the barracks Satomi-chan?.

 

[Aria]

The large ship seemed rather peaceful once all the flashing lights and alarms were shut off. Such a large space, in the middle of nowhere. Kazuma grabbed a cup of coffee from the wardroom to wake himself up before getting his uniform on. Some tasks have their priority.

After a few hours of exercises, the recruits were sent into the armor bay, where a makeshift podium was set up at the far end. The recruits all lined up behind in a formation of eight by five. The head instructor, not improving at all from last time, spoke for half an hour, which seemed like eternity. The applause after was not for the speech, but for the end of the speech.

Kiyoshi walked up on to the podium and took out a piece of paper. "When your name is called, please come up and receive your award."

After cleaning herself up and getting her dress uniform out, Hotaru proceeded to check it over, making sure it was spotless. Once dressed, she proceeded down to the graduation ceremony.

After hearing her name mentioned, Hotaru went up and recieved her award, bowing she said "Domo arigato," before bowing again and returning to her position.

Maya got back to the neko nest that she left in a hurry after this mornings excitement and took a shower before changing into uniform and then proceeding to the mess hall, for some reason Maya was feeling a little depressed after everything that has happened since she first came on this ship. At the mess hall, Maya was sitting alone at a table with a small tray in front of her consisting of nothing but bacon, eggs, a small bowl of rice and a tall glass of milk. Maya was just slowly picking at her food with her fork, occasionally taking a small bite every now and then.

She had been hearing rumors that a lot of the training programs are being cut short dramatically due to resent events such as the attack on Nataria, reports of unknowns ships attacking indiscriminately on Yamataian colonies and Star Army ships, and increased military buildups along the borders with Neplesia and the UOC thus resulting in the Star Army of Yamatai needing as many trained able bodied personnel as possible. Maya knew that something big was going to happened and for whatever the reason, she was not really looking forward to it. Maya then left the mess, her food half finished, to report for the next set of exercises that were that day.

After the exercises were over, all the recruits were sent to the PA bay for a makeshift graduation ceremony. Maya always imagined her graduation day to be a bit more grand for such a special occasion just like the awards ceremony on the Senbu the day before. Maya got into formation with the rest of recruits as an Instructor was standing in front of a makeshift podium preparing his speech. During his speech, Maya was trying her best to not fall asleep from the Instructor's words as Maya suspects he must have written it in a hurry.

After what seem like an eternity, The Instructor finally finished and was ready to give the roll call for the recruits to receive there commendations. Maya was kind of surprised that her name was called up first and proceeded next to the podium. When she got up there, the instructor handed Maya a small wooden box containing a training award for her completion of the Star Army Accelerated Training Program and a new rank pin promoting her to Ittô Hei (Soldier First Class) which Maya gladly accepted. "Domo arigato Sensei." Maya then bowed to him in appreciation before returning to the formation.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Maya replaced the Nitô Hei rank pin on her uniform with the Ittô Hei rank pin she had just received and puts it away in the awards box. Maya then walked over to Hotaru to congratulate her. "Hotaru-Chan! Before I go, I just wanted say congratulations to you and wish you the best for the future." With that, Maya turned around and headed toward the massive force fielded hangar exit and took a good long look out into the void of space. "Now that this chapter in my life is now over, what's going to happened to me and where am I going to go now?" Maya continued to stare at the stars as she ponders this thought and the inetible conflicts that sure to come.

 

[Aria]

The head instructor took a stride towards the podium and was met by a grown by the audience. Sensing danger of boredom, the black-haired instructor lunged in front of him and seized the podium, saving the crowd from another speech.

"For all of you who have decided to stay with the YSS Senbu, please gather your belongings and head towards their ship. Everyone else you are off duty until we reach the nearest starbase, where you will be sent off to various stations. Don't forget that all events in life are not planned and many events, such as the attacks and alarms can happen and will require fast responses to make it out alive in the real world."

"It has been a pleasure working with all of you and I hope you all can make a difference in this unforgiving world." The black-haired instructor gave a deep bow to all of the graduates, shortly followed by those behind him.

Maya then walked over to Hotaru to congratulate her. "Hotaru-Chan! Before I go, I just wanted say congratulations to you and wish you the best for the future."

"Ano, Ma-chan, it was a pleasure to serve with you. Congratulations to you and success in whatever you may do from this point forwards." replied Hotaru, as she bowed towards Maya, watching her walk off. Looking around at the milling people, she decided to head to the barracks to pack and get her stuff in order.
