After several months of careful deliberation, Councilman James Aglatine has announced the council's decision to honor Yamataian Senator Seinosuke Iemochi in recognition of his efforts to honor the soldiers of the Conclave who fell during the Battle of Glimmergold.
While the Council of Six extended the offer of citizenship and Baronetcy to the Senator, unfortunately his duties and oaths as a Senator, governor, and officer for Yamatai and its military prevented him from accepting. In an unprecedented decision, the Senator was instead named an honorary Baronet. Councilman Aglatine later explained that the council hoped that the gesture would express the gratitude of the Conclave for Senator Iemochi's efforts, as well as serve as an example that honor need not be won through military action.
