First of many articles Whisper made for his spin off corporation. He gave me permission to submit them awhile ago but I am only now getting the opportunity to actually make use of them. More to come as things progress. Tagging Alex since it is technically a NDC corporation.

Waiting on FM greenlight before review.

@Wes can we get an override on this? According to the forum the FM needed for approval has not logged in since October 1st (almost 10 days ago).

Hey, this looks pretty good. I'm left with a couple of questions that could perhaps use clarification in the article and I'll detail those below, but otherwise, it looks good.

  1. Obviously something like a topological scanner is pretty long range, but at what ranges are the device scanning and electrical activity detection functions effective? It seems like each function of the device operates in a different way, but these are the only two for which their effective range isn't self-evident and it seems like a salient detail for doing RP using the tool. I know it says "Visual range" later on, but it seems to me that the distance at which one can get useful information about an atmosphere or mountain range is different from that at which one can get information on what model of communicator someone is using.
  2. Roughly how long does it take to do different types of scans? At least one or two examples of usage might be useful in the Fidelity section, something like "It takes about a minute to determine the composition of an unidentified atmosphere, but it could take up to an hour to analyze an electrical network behind EMP shielding"
  3. Is the nomenclature right? It looks like it's using Noval's label.

I will wait for the submitter to review the FM's suggestions, then I will proceed with my review!

@Alex Hart I have updated the article. Reduced the number of native functions it has but expanded the number of external modules/equipment that can be used with it.

Nomenclature would be DEF-U2-1A , as that their multistruct tool is DEF-U1-1A.
